The Plaza Bear is just the most adorable guy!! He makes one of any age give a big smile!
The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English was quite a smart choice when opened in June of 2010. It has been enjoyed by locals, tourists and guests of the hotel as they can dine in a European Food Hall setting. So I was not shocked when I heard they were expanding. I was so thrilled as many of the places were on my "to do" list but never quite got there. This makes it so easy to try some amazing, highly talked about, food items, in a fabulous atmosphere. Let's take a walk through The Plaza Food Hall:
William Greenberg Desserts has Red Velvet Black and White Cookies
The Three Tarts has homemade marshmallows
Adorable mini tarts from The Three Tarts
YoArt, the European soft serve yogurt's USA debut
I really love the decor, it is so clean and chic
Sushi of Gari
Luke's Lobster and those famous Lobster Rolls
I want to try the Crab Roll next time or the New England Clam Chowder
Tartinery
Billy's Bakery is a very amazing place
These bars from Billy's Bakery came home with me and were pretty yummy
Baba Au Rhum to take home from FP Patisserie
and this gorgeous tart from FP Patisserie as well
Lady M Cake Boutique is still on my "to do" list as I did not try anything this time
These are called Mont Blanc, a french pastry made of vanilla flavored chestnut puree topped with Chantilly cream and decorated so lovely, and hard to find in the USA. I was really good and resisted getting one of the last 2 left but next time, it is mine!!
Another gorgeous cake from Lady M Cake Boutique
Kusmi Tea has quite a colorful shop
Pain d'Avignon has amazing fresh breads and sandwiches
Some places added that I did not photograph are No. 7 Sub, La Maison du Chocolat, Burke in the Box
I cannot suggest this place enough as it is great for large groups with various selections. There is something here for everyone for breakfast, lunch or dinner. To have it all under the roof of an iconic place such as The Plaza Hotel, is really a gift to us.
