A Visit to The Plaza Hotel

I love popping into The Plaza Hotel. I was thrilled to win an Afternoon Tea for 2 in the famous Palm Court. I am never bored with Afternoon Tea, and this is one of my favorite places to enjoy it in the city!

The Plaza just oozes elegance and style

The table setting is always so wonderful and special

We opted for the New Yorker Tea, and currently they are having a holiday themed with the following:

Life doesn't get any better than this, does it?

They change their dessert selection on a regular basis, so if you go a few times a year, it will be different.

The sandwiches are always so yummy, and as you can see, this is a very filling tea. I like to do this as my dinner, because it does provide enough food.

I then had to hop downstairs to see some gorgeous desserts. The one above is William Greenberg and tastes as good as they look!

The next photos are from the FP Patisserie which is one of my favorites to view the dessert art.

I hope you did not view this post on an empty stomach, if so, I really am sorry!!  Be sure to check out The Plaza Hotel when you visit the city, it is a special place!

Pizzo Rollio and Lady M Cake Boutique at The Plaza Food Hall

The Plaza Hotel is a place I frequent quite often when in the city. I just love the food hall downstairs, it has so many fantastic food choices. I love the idea of the all these great places in one spot! When I was there recently, I decided to finally try Pizza Rollio and Lady M Cake Boutique. Lady M I have been photographing for years but never got the chance to try it! The pizza place is pretty new, and it really looked interesting!
This is a artisanal pizza – crisp dough layered with a blend of cheese and rolled up with your choice of fresh toppings. Such a unique way to eat pizza! They have quite a menu of choices, but I went with the basic style, you receive some arugula and alfalfa to stuff on your pizza, roll and eat!

The crust is paper thin, so unique and really very tasty. I would for sure stop here again and try another flavor. They offer breakfast and dessert pizza as well. So much fun! I always try to enjoy new food choices when in the city, you will never find me at TGI Fridays.
Eloise herself with her trusty camera!
Lady M I have been photographing for a very long time. It has been one of those things that just never worked out the right time for me to try. Well, today was the day!

I went for the basic crepe cake.  Here is their description from their website:

Our signature cake and famous worldwide, the Lady M Mille Crêpes features no less than twenty paper-thin handmade crêpes layered with ethereal light pastry cream. Delicate and irresistible, the top is gently caramelized till golden. Sink right in; alternating crêpe and cream layers literally melt in your mouth, leaving a subtle sweet finish.

It was the most amazing cake I ever enjoyed. So light, and creamy - not too sweet. I had no problem enjoying the whole piece! It is for sure a must try when in the city, and do not wait as long as I did!

A Quick Visit to The Plaza Food Hall

As most of you know who read this blog often, I just LOVE the Plaza Hotel. One day I will stay there, I just hope it doesn't disappoint as I have very high expectations! I was in the city for an event, and needed some dining that was yummy but quick. I thought of the Plaza Food Hall right away.

How awesome do these bagels with lox look? I love lox and cream cheese on a bagel, pure heaven!

Pumpkin with cinnamon and cream cheese is a very good combination. These are from Billy's Bakery where everything you try is pretty awesome.

Lake Champlain peanut butter cups had me drooling. I just love peanut butter with anything.

Gorgeous truffles make great gifts from La Maison du Chocolat. French folks know how to do chocolate.
I had been dying to try the crepes here for a LONG time. Finally had the chance and they were AMAZING! Vive la Crêpe is here to make everyone happy!

It was very simple - egg, spinach and feta cheese and it just made my morning!

Life was just so good. I cannot wait to get back and try another flavor. The sweet choices are made with Nutella so you can imagine how good they must be!

My Mom loved linzer cookies and I always brought her a few from William Greenberg

Chocolates from Francis Payard are pretty intense!

I decided to try 2 of Billy's Bakery cupcakes - for blogging purposes of course!

This is the pumpkin with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. It was pretty good, the cake part was a bit on the dry side, icing was quite tasty.

This one was my winner of the two, banana cupcake with Nutella frosting. Out of this world!

These dessert selections are insane. Do you even see a Gluten Free chocolate mousse cake? From the amazing pastry chef Daniel Boulud, you feel guilty just a little eating such gorgeous confections.

If you have not been to the Plaza Food Hall, you must very soon. It is a great array of some of the best food makers the city has to offer, all under one roof. Trust me, you will be very happy once you check out the place.
