Porter House New York Review

Another place I have had on my list to visit for some time, Porter House New York, located in the Shops at Columbus Circle, with head chef Michael Lomaonaco. I had time one day before an appointment, and thought this would be great for lunch. And it was!
From the Porter House New York Website:

A native New Yorker, Chef Michael Lomonaco has spent his career celebrating the bounty of the American table at some of the city’s most iconic restaurants including ‘21’, Windows on the World, Wild Blue and Guastavino’s, before opening Porter House in 2006.

I decided on the 3 course lunch for $28.00 which in New York City is a pretty good deal. The Caesar salad was very good, large portion and fresh. You could also choose the daily soup or endive salad.
The decor is very lovely, very New York and wonderful to bring a friend or two!
My main was salmon and it was melt-in-your mouth good! I love a good cooked salmon! A very nice portion as well.
You can see how moist it is in this photo.
For dessert, being the chocolate lover, I ordered the molten chocolate cake, the other choices were sorbet and New York cheesecake.
I was very impressed with this place, and can't wait to come back with a friend. It is a higher priced restaurant, so to do lunch would be a very affordable way to dine here. I can't imagine anything would be not tasty here at all.
