UrbanSpace Vanderbilt New York

I was lucky to visit the new food hall near Grand Central Terminal, UrbanSpace Vanderbilt, last Monday during it's soft opening. I figured I would be skipping the crowds this way, which I was right, but not all vendors were open.
This very talked about food hall is brought to you by the same folks who bring you Columbus Circle and Union Square Holiday Markets; Madison Square Eats, Broadway Bites and Penn Plates. They know good food and bringing it together is a wonderful idea!

I am not a huge lobster fan, but wanted to try Red Hook Lobster Pound to see how they compare to Luke's Lobster. They offer soups which I found nice, and the one I had below was called Down Home Chowdah, a chowdah with Lobster, clams, haddock and mussels in a creamy tomato broth. I was in ♥ !! Next I need to try the lobster rolls, which they have 3 different ways of preparing.

Bangkok Bar was not open, but their menu looked very interesting. I love this type of place for groups when everyone likes something different because the variety here is wonderful.

Amali Mou was not open on Monday, but their menus looked yummy to me. I love Greek foods and the lamb burger sounds really tasty.

Those cats above belonged to Hong Kong Street Cart and that pork belly bun is calling me to get back soon when in the area! I would say this will be great for those working in this area, to grab a bite and head back to the office. I have understood that it has become quite the busy since it's real opening on Thursday, September 17th.
A great taco bar, I just love tacos and am eager to try this place as well. The one thing I was bummed about was the seating. Not much of it, and I am sure during the busy times, a seat will not be had. I like the idea if you are staying in a hotel in the area, of grabbing some great food and heading back to your room to enjoy.
The fresh flowers were a lovely touch added.

Asiadog is a very cool place to try some unique hot dog combos!
Maiden Lane is a great place for a variety of seafood.

Toby's Estate Coffee was quite a busy place, even with just the soft opening. I loved the decor of the space, and everything just looked so darn amazing!

Sips and Bites looked very interesting with these open sandwiches like the one below.

We choose this place for our lunch, Tacombi Taco, and I had the shrimp taco which was tasty. I should have ordered 2, which was the reason for my chowdah, which turned out very fabulous anyway!

Ovenly was a place I had heard lots about, but never was able to try yet. I was thrilled to take some items home, and I must say, everything was super-duper yummy!!
These chocolate truffle cookies were so tender and full of flavor, and gluten free too !

You need to try Sigmunds pretzels if you never have. They are just unreal, and you can get sandwiches made here as well. They have a Reuben sandwich on a mini pretzel roll that will make your head spin!
Pure pretzel heaven!
