Bergdorf Goodman Vintage Window Art

Bergdorf Goodman's window displays are some of the best in the world. Their mannequins are even the most beautiful I have ever viewed in a window. They have an upcoming movie "Scatter my ashes at Bergdorfs"  personal recollections from notable designers, celebrities, writers and employees, which should be amazing! The store opened in 1901, and has just become the utmost place for any who's who living and visiting New York City. I thought it would be fun to look at some of the past windows I had the pleasure of photographing.

Here comes the Bergdorf Goodman Window Art

In 2010, they celebrated the MET Costume Institute Exhibition with a special 5th Avenue Window installation celebrating The American Woman. Canvassing the 1890s – 1930s, each window represented an important movement in each decade. From the Gibson Girl to the spirited Flapper, each window illustrated the fashion that defined its era.

Nice recap of the window displays over the years--they really are gorgeous! Maybe one day I'll be able to afford one of those outfits in the window :)

Bergdorf Goodman is the epitome of fabulous! They have some of the best window displays. It was so good to see a retrospective of what they have done in the past. Thanks for putting this together. I saw a video about the scatter my ashes at bergdorf. They really thrive on impeccable service and advice. Have a great weekend my friend. Your posts are always amazing.

Glad you are enjoying this post. Bergdorf's windows are really the best in all of NYC 12 months a year. You can always see windows in the city that are created like artwork, unique and original, and tell a story. Macy's are good too but Bergdorf Goodman are a step above all. I will never get tired of taking photographs of them!!

Rosemary, you keep featuring my favourite places in NYC. Bergdorfs is one of my favourite places to shop there besides Barney's. I agree that Bergdorfs has one of the best windows. Just fabulous.

These are surely some fantastic shots of Bergdorf's extraordinary window displays! If I lived in NYC, I'd take a weekly walk among all the great department stores and drool over the beauty behind those windows. I'd cherish these photos forever!

Hope you're doing well Rosemary! I've been on vacay and now back teaching summer school, so I'm trying to catch up with my favorite bloggers!

Hugs,
Roz
