A Garden Tea at the Philadelphia International Flower Show

The Garden Tea was something I had wanted to attend for a few years now....since I am getting so knowledgeable with different types of tea services.........
the room was set up adorable and this fills up very fast....we had to reserve in October 2010 for this tea in March 2011.....the room held maybe 100 people so that is why and they have 2 seatings a day
the menu provided a very nice lunch for you and a rest for those feet walking the flower show all day
very pretty way to display our napkins
our water was in an adorable watering can ...I asked if they sold them but the lady said they were vintage and used every year!
the tea was sponsored by Stash Tea and Walker's Shortbread.......we were allowed to take as many Stash teas as we liked and if you have not tried their tea, you should, it is excellent
the tea is $28 per person, in addition to your flower show ticket

The Philadelphia International Flower Show has more than just flowers. It is a really fun event to attend, as it offers many different options throughout the day. There is something for everyone to enjoy!! I felt this tea could have been a bit better, I am glad I did it, but I can't see doing it another time. It would have been fun if they made it match the theme of the show which was Paris, some french macarons would have been a lovely touch.

Have you ever attended the tea at the flower show? Did you enjoy it ?

Photo Gallery Thursday "Garden Tea at the Philadelphia Flower Show"

The Garden Tea at the Philadelphia Flower Show is a very lovely event. It sells out fast, so you need to get tickets as soon as they are available on their website. I will say, the tea will not hold you for the whole day food wise, but makes a nice lunch. I really loved the tea pots as they looked like a water sprinkler! I asked them if they were for purchase and they said no, they were vintage. Figures. My luck. Has anyone visited the show this year? What were your thoughts? I think everyone is happy to see some color and to know spring is on it's way.
