Fun Items at the Pier Antiques Show

The Pier Antiques Show runs twice every year in March and November. Those 2 months are rather iffy for weather, so something like this is very cool to attend indoors and see some neat items. For the cost of $20, you can really see some vintage stuff, and some are even affordable! You may even see some famous people, many of the set designers/costume designers come here for items for a television show or movie. Something like Mad Men, for example, is really looking for specific items from the 1950's and 1960's, which you cannot just walk in any store and purchase. I have attended this show a few times, and it's always different - I can spend a good few hours walking around. Let's see what we can find today :
Very large bottle of ketchup!
This was great, very large, not sure where you would put it in a home - would be neat in a shop or restaurant perhaps
Loved the coffee maker, so so super-duper!
My parents gave me an appreciation of old movie stars, and these guys were just too funny! I loved the design on the cover of this CD - very vintage looking
I a l m o s t bought this phone! Is it not amazing or what? I really thought about it, now looking back, I should have, but I passed. It was in great condition as well, whoever owned it took good care of it.
Gorgeous items here, loved the blue color
I felt like Don Draper was going to pop out and use one of these glasses! So wonderful !
Beautiful plates, would be nice hanging on a wall
I love all the gold detail here
Now we have very large bottles with liquor - would be fun to decorate a bar area
I really liked these - the design is too much!
Artwork is here as well and you can find some unique items
I love this type of glass, it is just so beautiful to the eye Hard to pick just one if you were purchasing

Very elegant plate with gorgeous gold trim

I have no idea what this was! I thought it was so darn hysterical - I had to photograph to show on the blog! If anyone knows what this is, please leave a comment below! I  just found that Vapor All is an e-cigarette line. That tells me just a bit of something, but not much.

I have more to show next post of the jewelry and fashion items, they are always such great selections. Are you not a bit excited ? Stay tuned ...........

Pier Antique Show November 22 and 23, 2014

A really fabulous event in the winter/colder months in New York City is the Pier Antique Show. It runs November and March, it is all inside, and you can really just be amazed at what you can find. The prices are from very affordable, to mid-level to very high end, which I like, something for everyone. You can spend hours wandering around, looking at all the gorgeous pieces. Here are some of my photos from when I attended last November.
The vintage jewelry will make your head spin!
This sign made me smile!
Lots of vintage holiday decorations can be found at this show
Fashion Alley is where all the vintage clothing, jewelry and shoes can be found
I was thrilled to see these ceramic trees as my Mom made many of them to decorate our home. The seller told me they are very popular overseas, which I was kind of surprised.
Who doesn't love a Tiffany style lamp?
These 2 were just having a chat eating their lunch!
I really loved these bracelets. They were a bit out of my price range, but oh so original
I love these multi- olor glassware items
Many great accessory pieces for your kitchen
You can also find here large pieces of furniture as well

The wall of Birkin's which made me take a little tiny bow !!

Vintage Furniture at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

My love for the Metropolitan Museum of Art is really huge. I have been going to this museum since I was little, and it seems surreal that I now attend press events here for the blog! I think taking children to museums when they are young, is a great way to introduce them to art right from the beginning. I feel the best part of the Met is there are so many different exhibits, it is easy to find something where everyone has an interest. I thought I would show you today some of the gorgeous furniture displayed at the Met. I was taken away by them while visiting recently, and felt you would really enjoy to see as well.

Sorry for the blurr on this one but it was one of my favorites and I had to show you

The gold detail was gorgeous and the painting was just so lovely as well

Always try to make time when in the city for a visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Wonders await you!!

The recommended fees below are just that, if you can only afford $10, they will accept that to visit the museum. They are one of the few that do this on a daily basis which I think is wonderful.
