Judson Memorial Church
the church from across the street heading to Washington Square Park
the carvings of Washington on the famous Arch and the work of Stanford White
originally constructed in 1889 to celebrate George Washington's centennial, Mckim Mead & White's original design was rebuilt in marble in 1891 -
a little private street a block up from Washington Square Park
one of the homes here sold for 5.5 million last year
the names of some of these stores just keep amazing me
The Pink Pussy Cat was closed for the morning
this was an apartment building near Washington Square Park
the detail is amazing...even if no central air conditioning!!
we have not seen desserts in some time so this was in Corrado, the original bakery in the village where a branch is also at Grand Central Terminal
are you in love with the village yet?
are you going to be sure to stop there when visiting NYC?
because you would miss all this........
I hope Bob and I have made you excited about the village. It is a great place to spend the day and just walk and explore. You never know what you may find.
