Since we hear so much about Grimaldi's Pizza in Brooklyn, I thought I would take you on a trip to L & B Spumoni Gardens. A totally different type of pizza, thick crust and Sicilian style, it is really yummy!
Established in 1939, and a legend in Brooklyn, it is a must stop. I visited while on the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour. I really found that tour to be great because you didn't have to worry about getting lost finding these fabulous pizza places. You can just sit back and enjoy the afternoon eating some amazing pizza!
They have an outdoor area for sitting during the warm weather months. They also make fabulous Spumoni for dessert which I wish I had saved room for! I think I need to go on the tour again and be sure to try the Spumoni!
What is your favorite type of pizza? Thick crust or thin? I like both myself, although the thick crust I can usually only enjoy 1 piece. The slices at L & B Spumoni Gardens are pretty huge, eating two would be quite a task I think!!
