Goodbye McCormick and Schmick's in New York City

As of June of 2014, the McCormick and Schmick's is no more! I am a HUGE fan of seafood, I would eat it daily if I was allowed, and one of my fave places in the city to eat was McCormick and Schmick's. The location near Radio City was great for me, as my bus leaves right near that area. I was working on this review for you, when I noticed it had closed since I had last visited. The restaurant is a chain owed by Landry's Select Club, which also closed Gramercy Vic & Anthony's. They still operate in the city Morton's Steakhouse, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. I dined at Bubba Gump's once, that was enough for me.

McCormick and Schmick's has locations in other cities, I would go in another if I saw one while traveling. The decor was really nice, and I brought many friends here during our trips to the city.

New England Clam Chowder is one of my favorites. When I was little, we stayed at a Howard Johnson's and I asked for it for breakfast. The lady actually brought it to me! Guess that was the signs of a foodie starting very young!!

This was my last meal at this location, stuffed shrimp with a sweet potato mashed and vegetables. I was really disappointed as it was served to me cold, and that shouldn't be. I am not the type to complain, but I should have because the meals here are not cheap. I just felt maybe I wouldn't be going back again. Then I find out they closed. You can't run a restaurant just so-so in New York City. There are so many other options, and people talk. My other favorite seafood restaurant is City Lobster and Steakhouse, they are always packed, and offer 3 course specials which helps travelers a great deal.
