Apthorp Cleaners on the Upper West Side

I came across Apthorp Cleaners on my visit to the Upper West Side. A dry cleaner is really not something you will stop and look at, unless they have very neat windows. Their website has quite a bit of personality too, but I wasn't all that surprised!
How adorable is this? A cafe with Barbie people and wonderful accessories to go with it
The sun was my enemy trying to take these shots for you, but I just had to try. This was so darn cute!
There is even an Audrey Hepburn type lady standing there to get a table! Love it !

This was an airport with folks traveling with their Juicy Couture items! I would love to know where they find these items!
This classy lady has her Louis Vuitton luggage with her, maybe going to Paris for a week?
Do you not find this just adorable? I love all the little details

From what I read on their website, they do the usual in-home alterations, getting stains out and repairing clothing, but they also do garment restoration, which I imagine is not very common. They are in business 26 years, in the legendary Apthorp Building which is 100 years old. They have a board on their Pinterest of their Barbie Couture Collection which you can view HERE . I would say if you are looking for a very good dry cleaner, these folks would probably fit the bill. I hope you enjoyed this fun little Barbie treat found in the Upper West Side of New York City !!

What a fun post! Looks like it made your day finding this cleaner's unique window display. Always fun to see Barbie and Ken in cute outfits. Loved this.

while the windows at Apthorp are fun, the owners are not nice people .. the store used to be in one of the retail spaces at the base of The Apthorp ... they moved to this location a few years ago .. the husband and wife who own/run the business are known throughout the neighborhood for their lack of niceness (and i am being polite about this) .... just sayin'
