Sylvia on Broadway Review

I do not do a ton of Broadway shows, and I really enjoy comedies especially with Matthew Broderick. I recently had the chance to see "Sylvia" at the Cort Theater with Matthew Broderick, Julie White, Annaleigh Ashford, and Robert Sella.
The Cort theater is really gorgeous, so much detail when you look up, it is very small as well, so no seat is a bad one here.

A.R. Gurney's Syliva is a comedy about how a new dog, Sylvia, comes between a married couple. The original off-broadway production, Sylvia was played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the 1995 Manhattan Theatre Club premiere. Annaleigh Ashford has recently won a Tony award for her performance in You Can't Take it With You, and she was part of the cast of Kinky Boots. I thought she was really fabulous as the dog, Sylvia, and the theater was really laughing up a storm at her antics. I also enjoyed Robert Sella in three roles as ladies, the audience was roaring with laughter! Matthew Broderick was perfect as the dog owner, my least favorite was the lady who played his wife, Julie White, among the whole cast. I would highly recommend this show to anyone, especially dog lovers!

Thalia Restaurant New York City

Upon one of my recent visits to the city, I took a friend to Thalia, in the theater district. I have been here before myself, just ordered a burger which was very good, but was excited to try a few more items.

I was shocked at how small their menu seemed to be, we were looking online and it was nothing like when we arrived at the restaurant. I hate when that happens, but we did seem to pick some items that worked out very well for both of us.
We started with a crab cake, which was very good, full of crab and hit the spot.

Our dinner selections were shrimp scampi and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin

The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin was amazing. The flavor in the pork was so so good and it melted right in your mouth. The portion was very generous as well. That is a sweet potato gratin on top, which was just amazing as well. Very good choice here indeed.

My choice was the shrimp scampi, you received about 20 shrimp, along with a piece of toasted focaccia bread.

We both brought at least half of our dinners home, and had another meal the next day. I thought the food was very, very good. I hope they bring back their larger menu however because the one we had was very limited in choices.
If the weather is nice, you can site outside and enjoy your meal. A great way to dine in New York City!!
