Straight from Eater New York:
Mark those calendars. LX World reports that famed Parisian macaron shop Maison Ladurée will open at 864 Madison Avenue on August 27. The tipline has been bombarded with questions about the drop date ever since news broke that the lauded shop was finally crossing the Atlantic.
I will be in the city for the US Open tennis starting August 25th and this will be one of the "must" stops on my list of things to do while in the city for the week!! I have been looking at photos of wonderful pastries from this place for years and cannot wait to see/try them in person!!

The Madison Avenue outpost will include two distinct rooms—one for sales and one for order taking and sitting and conversing on "antique chairs upholstered in 19th century fabrics"—and will boast an adjacent tea room. It will be outfitted "in the style of a private French home."
The hours will be Monday - Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 930am - 6pm and Closed Sunday

Ladurée will be open on August 27th at Madison avenue and 70th st. Be ready! :)
Thanx Maggie as I will update for everyone!!
Just checked on their website which states August 26th for the opening...so thrilled I will be in the city at the time for a week! Will be checking it out very soon after it opens....excited!!
revised a 2nd time for the new date per their website....hopefully will be open by next week!! fingers crossed!!
Walked by the store today...they are nowhere near opening tomorrow; they were just bringing in the counters and were painting the windows. I don't know how they could ever open tomorrow, but hopefully it will happen soon!
it still has the 27th on their website but with the weather issues in NYC, who knows....just hope everyone will be safe and it won't be as bad as they are bracing for....it will open soon enough for us to enjoy and photograph the pastry artwork!
