The Doors of Chelsea August 2017

Walking along West 23rd Street in Chelsea turned out to be a real gem. So many gorgeous pieces of architecture, this is what gives this area so much character. One of the many reasons why New York City is a walking city. Let's go !!
I loved everything about this, that blue door is magic!
What a fantastic light fixture!
Famous Chelsea views !

Love, love this one!
This building made me stare up for quite some time!
Just when you think it can't get any better!
Chelsea is known for many gorgeous flower shops
Can you say "Perfect" ?
I could walk on this street all day
These views never get old
Another gorgeous example of a perfect home
I really like the light fixtures here

I hope you enjoyed this little walk through Chelsea and the beautiful architecture it has to offer. Don't just walk on the main streets, venture to the side streets as you never know what gems you will find.

The Amazing Doors of Chelsea

The one thing you hear about New York City is "it has so much character" over and over. The dictionary says character is The Mental and Moral Qualities Distinctive to an Individual (or place) and The Distinctive Nature of Something. That is one great way to describe New York City. When you walk some of the fabulous neighborhoods, like the Upper East Side, or Chelsea, you see this wonderful character everywhere. The amazing brownstones, which have been around for decades, are an architectural wonder. Here are some of my shots as I walked around Chelsea, with my camera in hand, enjoying the view of these most fabulous doors!!

I also love the wrought iron designs on the doorsteps. The flower boxes add more charm as well. Have you visited Chelsea? Be sure to go down some of the side streets, to appreciate some of these lovely views!!
