The Mask Bar New York

My recent visit to Greenwich Village found me inside a Korean beauty shop called The Mask Bar. These kind of places are dangerous for me, but I was proud I held somewhat restraint! They have 2 locations in the city, in the Village and in Soho. I am sure I will be back on another trip.  

Snail mask sheet and royal jelly mask - very interesting products here - Korean beauty is all the rage these days, they have some very cool items.  

I really wanted to try the Caviar lotion and toner, probably will pick up next visit. I plan to pop in the Village more often than I have been, it is such a great place just to chill out and walk around.  

The prices are very reasonable as well - how cute are these body lotions?  

I purchased one of these masks to try, it worked very nicely. I like the fact that you can purchase just one of the masks to see how it works for you.  

This looked very cool as well, I may pick up on my next visit. I love all the packaging as well, so much fun. The whole store just made me happy!  

The Honey Milk Candy Mask went home with me as well and I have yet to try it.  

These are really calling me therefore I need to get back sooner than later to pick up one or both!  

If you love to try unique beauty products, I would recommend a trip to The Mask Bar. I love trying new lines and see what magic they can do for my skin.

Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate

I hope you all know who Mr. Bones is - the person who welcomes you when you walk in any Kiehl's store. I really love the products Kiehl's has to offer, and they have been in business since 1851, so they are doing something very right. I use many of their products as they are amazing quality and not going to break your budget. 

I was thrilled when Kiehl's contacted me about trying their new Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate and have been using it for about 2 months. I have really noticed a difference in my skin, it is more bright and smoother when applying my make up. I think anything with Vitamin C as an ingredient is a very good idea. 

Below is some information from Kiehl's website: 

Hitting Kiehl’s stores nationwide and available on Kiehls website to help Baby New Year keep that youthful complexion, this new formula is Kiehl’s largest formula renovation in its 166 years. The original Powerful-Strength Line Reducing Concentrate launched with Dermatologist Solutions in 2005, and since then, it has remained one of the most popular formulas on the market—in fact, there’s 1 sold every min globally!

 The goal for this renovation was to make an already great formula even better, and we did so in two ways, by 1.) Increasing the amount of Vitamin C in the formula to 12.5% and 2.) Adding Hyaluronic Acid.

The new formula outperformed the original for a number of attributes:

· After 8 weeks of using the product, the new formula outperformed the original in the appearance of forehead wrinkles

You do not need to use a lot of the product, so a 1.7 oz size will last you quite a while. I would have to say that for most of their products, a little goes a long way to keeping your skin gorgeous and truly glowing. 

Some of the other products that I use daily are: Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, Nature Powered Mask Set, Midnight Recovery Concentrate, Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream SPF 30. I have been using Kiehl's products a very long time, and they have always been a winner to me.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Now with SPF 30

I am so thrilled to be press for Kiehl's. It is a company I have been using for a very long time, and their products are always so fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and the results will make you very, very happy. My Dad was a user of Kiehl's moisturizer before every company started making them for men.

Their Ultra Facial Cream is one of their best sellers, it accounts for more than 18% of their business!
They sell 1.2 Ultra Facial Creams per minute, so you see the greatness of this product. They now add the fabulous SPF 30 to it, and make it even better. I always use moisturizer with SPF 12 months a year. It is very important for your skin care routine.

This product provides 24-hour hydration to your skin, improves functionality within one hour and helps protect skin from UVA and UVB rays with broad spectrum SPF 30.

I was thrilled to try this when Kiehl's sent me a jar. The consistency is very nice, thick and goes right into your skin. A great daily moisturizer, makes your skin feel very hydrated and soft.

Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Masque  - love love this new masque, use one a week 

Midnight Recovery Oil - amazing oil for your face but I also add a dot in my hair 

Daily Reviving Concentrate  - wonderful item to use under moisturizer for glowing skin 

Midnight Recovery Eye  - fantastic eye cream 

Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleanser and Toner  - love this cleanser as it is formulated with Amazonian White Clay particles to gently remove oil, dirt and toxins that clog pores. The Toner feels lovely after you have used the cleanser, very refreshing. 

Cilantro and Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Mask - a very neat mask, you tissue off just a portion of it, and leave the rest to soak in your skin overnight. Smells amazing as well.

The Jojoba Company Travel Pack Review

I was really excited to receive an email from the Jojoba Company to review their travel pack selections. We are always looking for great products we can take with us when we travel, your skin takes a beating with the different conditions it encounters. Jojoba is a plant extract that produces a waxy solution that holds the same properties as sebum – the item that keeps our skin’s health, keeping it looking healthy, moisturized and young.

Some of the wonderful benefits of Jojoba are: Moisturize Skin, Remove Makeup, Smooth Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Condition Hair and Lips, Soften Hands and Cuticles, Soothe Skin Irritations.

I would think many people would welcome a product that is very natural, with no pesticides used. The Jojoba Company does just that. Let's see what we get in their travel essentials pack:

Jojoba Bead Facial Cleanser 20ml: A deep penetrating balanced cleanser enriched with jojoba beads that release intensely nourishing esters and gently exfoliate. This cleanser worked so well for me, my skin felt very soft and actually glowed after use! I really enjoyed this product and will be getting some in the regular size for daily use.

Hydrating Day Cream 20ml: High performance anti-aging moisturiser enriched with green tea and olive leaf extracts, skin calming chamomile, beta glucan, Vitamins B & E and skin firming Siberian Ginseng to supplement the deep moisturizing properties of jojoba. The day cream was very nice as well, didn't feel greasy, but I wished it had some sunscreen protection.

Intense Overnight Renewal Cream 20ml: A restorative, luxurious cream with concentrated powerful natural active ingredients to encourage skin renewal. This overnight cream really made a big difference for me, my skin looked great the next morning. A little goes a long way, so this will last you quite a while, even with daily use.

Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream 20ml: Benefits: A non-greasy, Vitamin E enriched hand cream formulated with cocoa and mango butter, organic coconut oil and lemon essential oil to instantly re-hydrate and re-energize tired, dehydrated hands. I really liked this hand cream as the scent wasn't overpowering, and it really made my hands very soft and smooth.

Jojoba 15ml: Powerful natural moisturizer, wrinkle smoother, anti-aging, soothes the appearance of skin, hair, scalp, hand and cuticle conditioner. This would be another product I would buy in full size. I like the fact it can be used for so many different things, I have such issues with my cuticles, and it helped a great deal. There is no smell to this at all, so it won't mix with any perfumes you may be already wearing.

I really would say this travel essentials kit is a great way to try the line, and see what works for your skin. At $25.00, it is a good deal, and you can purchase full size of your favorites. The case it comes it is nice and roomy as well, and can fit more things for your travel needs.

Head to Toe Bag from Beauteque Review

I received an email from the company Beauteque about reviewing some of their products. Being a cosmetic junkie, I was thrilled to try some new items. This company has a focus on Asian skincare and cosmetics. It was started by a 16 year old girl in 2014 who wanted to showcase products to be your best self! They sent me a Head to Toe beauty bag, which you receive products valued at $65.00 to $85.00 but cost under $30.00. I love these kind of bags, as you are always surprised at what you receive!  

I loved the gingham bag which held all the fabulous products for me to enjoy! Tony Moly is a brand I was not familiar with, so I was really excited to see what was in this cute bag!  

Okay, how fun are these items? I just love the tangerine, which is a whitening hand cream which smells amazing! The lips are a lip balm which smells great as well. There are quite a bit of products in that little bag!  

The 2 hearts are pumice stones to keep your feet nice for the spring/summer season. The Tony Moly Lip Primer works very well, keeps your lip color in one place.  

The Black Sugar mask is really amazing for removing all the dead skin cells from your face and making it really shine! They say you should use a scrub mask at least once a week for your skin to be nice and smooth for your make up to be applied.  

Those lips are just too much fun! I also really like the face mask which is that strawberry looking at you! It is 3 steps which helps keep pores clean and smooth. 

Last, but not least, is the hair straight cream from Tony Moly. It is a unique 2 step process to make your hair silky smooth and straight. 

So, what do you think of this Head to Toe bag from Beauteque? Pretty neat products and it is so nice when you can have fun taking care of your skin and body! Their website has loads of products that are just like these, it's a real fun place to shop! The fact that you receive 7 to 8 full size products for under $30.00 is pretty amazing! 

Beauteque has a website for shopping individual items and then the Beautequemonthly.com for the monthly subscription bags. I really like the monthly bags as you can try different products that maybe you would not normally pick up on your own.

Harmonia Botanica Natural Skin Care Review

I am always on the lookout for new products. We are all looking for affordable, quality skin care. It is so important to take care of your skin from a very young age, and you will see the results as you age. I think young women should be taught from their teens how important it is to use good skin care products, and stay out of the sun. I was thrilled when Harmonia Botanica contacted me to see if I wished to sample their skin care line. I hope to give you some information on a few of the products I have been able to use, as well as the ingredients that go into each product.

Creamy Souffle Cleanser

I really enjoyed this cleanser and thought it was great you could use it on hands and body, as well as face. I am always looking for a good cleanser as this is such an important part of your skin care routine. You did not need alot of this product, and it worked so well, my skin was really soft after using it. The price of $17.99 for 4 ounces makes this a really great deal all around! 

DESCRIPTION

Our gentle 100 % pure foaming cleanser effectively cleanses even the most sensitive and dry skin without stripping. Creamy Souffle Cleanser with invigorating orange flower water is a daily cleanser suitable for all skin types that cleanses and moisturizes the skin for a glowing complexion. HOW TO APPLY

Apply a small amount of cleanser to damp skin. Gently massage in with circular movements and rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with Botanical Flower Toner, Elixir and moisturizer suitable for your skin type. Can be used twice daily for oilier complexions. Suitable for face, hands and body.

Bath Oil

I really loved this bath oil as liked it for soaking my Mom's and my own feet, I like to give Mom some treatments to make her feel better. The smell of this oil was wonderful, not too strong, but very refreshing. Soaking in it was real heaven, I would imagine doing this in a whole bath would be sublime! This has a fabulous price point as well, $34.99 for 4 ounces. You do not need alot of the product, so it will go a long way.

Bath Oil — with 100% pure plant extracts, including pine needle, mandarin, sweet orange, juniper berry, and vanilla – eliminates toxins and relaxes. This beauty elixir is totally amazing! It left my skin looking so great, very smooth, and just relaxed. Many companies offer this type of product, and it is easy to spend close or more than $100.00 for this size and quality. This comes in at $55.00 for 1 ounce, and will last you quite a while. Just a little goes a long way, and since my Dad's Mom was named Rose, I love the fact it incorporates "the queen of flowers" in it's ingredients! 

DESCRIPTION

They deeply penetrate upon application to moisturize and relax the skin, provide immediate radiance, and increase the effectiveness of your favorite moisturizers. I gave this totally to my Mom as her lips were getting so dry since she has been home from the hospital. She really has enjoyed using the product, and says her lips feel so smooth. It is a very soothing balm as well, and she liked that it came with a little scoop to put the product on as well. This will last a long time, and again, not alot is needed. This product runs $16.50 for 0.67 ounces. The smell is not very strong, but just nice enough for you to enjoy.

This luxuriously rich lip balm with rose oil nourishes, softens and plumps up your lips. Helps heal very dry lips. This unique formula is 100 % natural. The secret of beautiful lips.

Shi Divine Nourishing Cream

I have to totally agree with Harmonia Botanica that Shea butter is amazing. I have experienced it in other products, and it really makes such a difference in the quality. To have a face cream, with shea butter, is just unbelievable! I have not tried this on my face, but when I did, it was really so wonderful. This product retails for $42.50 for 1.7 ounces.

Shea Butter is known as “women’s gold” and has been used for centuries as a natural balm because it deeply moisturizes and protects even the driest complexions. Shi Divine immediately moisturizes, smoothes dehydration lines and prevents tightness. It provides 24-hour hydration and protection against harsh weather and environmental conditions. HOW TO APPLY

My skin looks great from using the products in this line, and you do not have to shell out tons of dollars to do so. I would suggest that you try one product, and see how you like it, and how your skin responds to it. Then you can add others a bit at a time. The one product they have which sounds excellent is Lustrous Locks Leave-In Hair Oil as I would think it would really give some nutrients to your hair. It would be great for those like myself who color their hair, as would keep it looking healthy and shiny. Please let me know if you give this line a try, I would love to know how you like it! I do not think anything here can disappoint anyone, products made with natural ingredients at an affordable price is a win for everyone!!
