A Stroll on 5th Avenue New York City

I popped in the recently open Cartier store on Fifth Avenue to see their

Princess Grace exhibit of jewels after a two year renovation. Diamonds

always make a girl happy!

This was one of their rings in the window, I was not allowed to photograph

the Princess Grace items, one which was her engagement ring from Prince Rainier.

This is the ring, which I must say, in person, was just breathtaking. Every diamond in

this boutique just sparkles at 100% every level.

The platinum Cartier ring bearing an emerald-cut diamond of 10.47 carats and

flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds and mounted in platinum.

A gorgeous necklace I shot from their windows in 2011. I would wear that daily

if it were in my possession.

The famous little red box from Cartier is just as fabulous as the jewels inside!

The new Princess Grace Salon, on the second level. The room, which has a double window right onto Fifth Avenue, will become a permanent home for bridal and diamond collections. Can you imagine trying on jewelry here? I can.

This was a Cartier piece from Christie's in one of their jewel auctions.

It would be a bit much for everyday, I prefer the strand of diamonds

from the above photo instead.

Saks Fifth Avenue May 2014 Prada Window Art

We have not had window photos for some time! I guess we have just been busy doing so many other activities in New York City, it got past me! These were fabulous windows at Saks Fifth Avenue during my visit in May of this year. I really loved all the color and some of the reflections turned out pretty cool.

Just love the whole look, the models look so chic with that classic bob hair style !

What is it about Chanel that just makes it so darn amazing? Classic I would say.

These fabulous windows were from Saks Fifth Avenue in 2011 to celebrate the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Savage Beauty exhibit featuring Alexander McQueen. They were really amazing pieces, and I did see the show at the Met, it was pretty amazing work. He was such a talented guy gone way too soon. The lines were wild to get in, took I think 2 hours to finally get to see the show, with pre-purchased tickets. A real hit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and since it's one of my fave museums, I was quite happy for them!!

Christian Louboutin at Saks Fifth Avenue

When I visited the city in March, 2012, Saks was celebrating 20 years of the shoe master himself, Christian Louboutin

there were so many gorgeous selections and I wonder, what did we do before he made this little works of art for your feet?

Saks Fifth Avenue March 2012 Chanel Windows

Saks Fifth Avenue and Chanel are two names that are noted for their style, class and quality. When we were in the city in March, Saks had their windows adorned with Chanel products. The mannequins alone are just gorgeous. I loved the hair with pearls throughout, how great for a wedding or prom look? Simple yet oh so elegant. I though I would list some of Coco Chanel's best quotes while we view these works of art.

The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.
