Breakfast at La Pecora Bianca and Morgan Library

One of my new spots to visit often in the city is La Pecora Bianca restaurant. They have a few locations in Manhattan, this one being near Bryant Park, where I frequent. I was on my way to the Morgan Library, and stopped to try their breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely, which I was not surprised. Highly recommend if you are in the area for dining any time of day.
The Morgan is one of my favorite spots, and being a smaller museum, easy to enjoy and relax a bit while in the city.
Seeing this for many years, it never gets old. It still amazes me.
This ceiling is just beautiful.
This. Never. Gets. Old.
If you are looking for gifts for family or friends, a museum gift shop is the best choice. You find things you will not see anywhere else and local items as well like the beautiful jewelry shown above.
I did pick up the French necklace !

If you have never visited these spots, please add them on your NYC to-do list. You will not be disappointed!

Rembrandt and Einstein at The Morgan Library and Museum

We are back at one of my favorite museums, easily becoming my 2nd favorite to the Met, The Morgan Library and Museum. There were 2 cool exhibits in September that I wanted to show you, and of course, a little trip to the gift shop. If you are looking for cool, unique holiday gifts, check them out in person or online I cannot believe today is November 1st , where did the year go?
The architecture of this building always brings a smile to my face
The view looking out one of the windows was pretty darn cool
From the 2nd level The Morgan Café looks amazing

This is on my list to try next year with a friend

This amazing painting was on display from June 3 through September 18, 2016.

From the Morgan website:
Completed when he was just twenty-three years old, Rembrandt’s Judas Returning the Thirty Pieces of Silver has long been recognized as the artist’s first mature work, his first masterpiece. The painting demonstrates many of the characteristics that would come to define Rembrandt’s style: dramatic lighting, a rhythmic harmony of composition, and his exceptional ability to convey the emotional drama of a scene. Long held in a British private collection, the painting will be shown in the United States for the first time at the Morgan in Rembrandt’s First Masterpiece.
The frame was pretty as gorgeous as the painting itself.

I just love this ceiling

How neat is it to look at Albert Einstein's handwriting? Just over the top!

From the Morgan's website:

A century ago, Albert Einstein published the general theory of relativity, the crowning achievement of the great physicist’s illustrious career. In celebration of this landmark achievement, the Morgan presents a pop-up exhibition featuring a trio of Einstein items.

Did you say you liked to shop? Visit this gift shop and you will be very happy
Items change often so good to always pop in when in the area
I love this unique gift wrap
Another view from the gift shop looking outside
If you are looking for a neat journal, this is a great place to find one

The details in this room just blow my mind

Corning Museum of Glass Gift Shop

We are back at the fantastic Corning Museum of Glass today, hitting their gift shop. As you know, I LOVE museum gift shops, and this one didn't disappoint. My only issue was you have to look at what you are purchasing as some items in the store were made in China. That had me a bit upset, they really should be carrying all items Made in USA.
Very pretty paperweights which I purchased for a good friend.
I just love the colors, they make you happy!
Really gorgeous perfume bottles

These were really cool, I believe that is real gold inside that design. I would hope so for $5000.00.
This totally blew my mind. These are all made out of glass, so so darn
amazing!
John Miller is a pretty talented guy!
How can you not smile when you see these?

If money were no object, what a heck of a great gift!

How lucky I was to find this cool video of Mr. Miller making an oversized, calorie free, donut!
If you have the time to watch this, is it pretty incredible what they can do with glass!
I just really love it !
