Sundays Nail Studio and Some Sweets

I hope everyone is doing well! I cannot believe it is the middle of January already! The time seems to fly by! To say I am a nail polish lover is an understatement. I won't tell you how many I own, but they fill a clothes dresser. One of the brands I have come to love is Sundays, who create polishes that are 10-Free, Non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free. The one thing my Mom hated when I polished my nails was the smell of the polish. These have no smell at all. The best thing are the colors, so unique and wonderful, I have quite a few in my collection. I decided to check out their salon in the Nomad area of the city, near the Flatiron, for a well deserved manicure.

ROSE EXTRACT ANTI-AGING MANICURE (45 MINS) $45

Bathe your hands in an anti-aging infusion of rose petals and hydrating coconut milk, before a gentle orange-peel scrub. Relax further with a 10-minute rose essential oil aromatherapy massage, followed by a cooling spritz of rose water mist, and a perfect nail polish to seal the deal.

I enjoyed the rose manicure, they had you soaking in real rose petals and used those to rinse your hands at the end. I loved the Amaki Jasmine and Rose oil for face, body, hair and nails. I added on the massage for 10 minutes and some nail art. Needless to say, this was the most fantastic manicure I have ever had. I am just itching to get back for another!

The salon is not very big, and has a very calming vibe to it.

My nails looked amazing and they lasted a good 2 weeks. These are my own nails, I got the gene from my Mom who had very strong nails as well. If you are looking for a place to get some pampering, I would highly suggest this place. They also have another location in the new Saks beauty floor on 5th Avenue.

After a manicure, why not stop at Eataly for some dessert!

Dining at Eataly

I figured this wonderful photo of chocolates would get your attention! We are dining at Eataly, and if you have never visited, you must! The food here is amazing, and they have quite a few restaurants to dine which are all fantastic. This time I picked Il Pesce which mainly serves seafood, which I just adore. I am so not a steak person, I love so many different kinds of seafood. I can't even say which is my favorite!

I just LOVE Smeg appliances, don't you? They are the coolest in the world.

My dinner choice was scallops and they were so yummy. Cooked a very simple way, but when you use a few good flavors like garlic and olive oil, you are one happy person.

I didn't photograph but I also ordered green beans to go with my seafood and they were pretty wonderful as well. This restaurant is a first come first serve as far as seating but if you are a seafood lover like myself, you won't mind a little wait. It is well worth it!

Top 5 Best Eats in Flatiron District

The Flatrion district is one of my most favorite areas. It is so wonderful to walk around and check out the unique shops and restaurants. You can also take a break in Madison Square Park from all the walking which is so lovely. I thought I would put together some of the top 5 best places to eat in the area. They are so many good choices, but these are those that I enjoy.

In no particular order:

1. Eataly - I can't really say enough about this place. It is a must visit for any foodie. There are restaurants, food counters, cafe, market and cooking classes. I would recommend everyone to visit here at least once, and be sure to try some of the amazing food! The gelato is one of the best I have ever enjoyed.

2. Beecher's Handmade Cheese - If you like cheese, you need to visit here! When visiting Beecher's in the Flatiron District, you can grab a sandwich in the cafe and watch the cheesemakers at work or wander downstairs into The Cellar where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the glow of their cheese cave where row upon row of Beecher's cheeses ripen to perfection. It is homemade cheese like no other.

3. City Bakery - One of the BEST hot chocolates you will find in the city, the month of February is their hot chocolate festival - one flavor each day! They make wonderful pastries as well, a must stop when in this area.

4. Eleven Madison Park - The restaurant is run by Chef Daniel Humm and Restaurateur Will Guidara and it is a top notch restaurant. For special occasions, birthday or anniversaries, it is worth the splurge. The tasting menu will cost you $295 for 8 to 10 courses. Michelin Guide - 3 Stars #1 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants - 2017 #3 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants - 2016 4 Stars in New York Times - It is worth the price, and expect to be in awe.

5. Madison Square Eats - Owed by the Urbanspace which brings amazing food vendors all to one area 5th Ave between 25 and 26th Streets. The Spring market runs May through June and the Fall runs through the month of September. I love the idea that you can taste some of the best food vendors in the city all in one spot. Some of my faves are Roberta's, Melt Bakery, Bao by Kaya, Macaron Parlour, Las Sonrisa Foods. Pure genius.

Random New York City Photography June 2016

I was in the city quite a bit the month of June. Just about every week, to be honest, which was fun and crazy at the same time. I shot some really cool photos which I wanted to share, these are the reasons why you visit New York City. Everywhere you walk, everywhere you look, you see beautiful things!

The building above was from the Upper West Side on a glorious day!

The Langham is a gorgeous building, but that car with the missing hubcap doesn't really belong in front of it! The apartment building was constructed between 1905 and 1907.

I love the fact that you can just walk around the city, and find such wonderful architectural treasures!

Is this not gorgeous? I have found that going to NYC so often, I appreciate these buildings, and end up searching online the type of architecture I so enjoy!

I love the flowers on the side, they must take great pride working here! I know I would!

A stop at our friends LA Burdick is always a great idea. This is a chocolate coconut gluten free caek and tasted so darn good!

The statue of Chester Alan Arthur in Madison Square Park. He was our 21st President, he took the oath in New York City after President Garfield's assassination.

I was anxious to check out Eataly at night, thinking it would be less busy. I was very wrong. That place is just crazy 24/7, how great does that cauliflower look?

These gorgeous flowers were from Eataly as well. The colors are just fabulous!

You cannot visit Eataly without espresso and gelato - they are great together!

I never get tired of looking at this lovely view. The Met Life Tower was completed in 1909, and was the tallest building in New York City from 1909 to 1913.

Spotlight on Artisanal Products: From Cup to Plate with Lavazza Coffee

I am thrilled to tell you about a very cool class coming up at the awesome La Scuola Grande at Eataly with Francine Segan and LavAzza coffee!
