Visitors to Versailles Part 3

We are back with the last installment of the Visitors to Versailles exhibit at The Met. I just love this painting of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI - just fantastic!

I love the ribbons in her hair
The gorgeous blue color in this tureen and stand

This was very cool with Louis XVI and Ben Franklin

How neat that we have a passport issued to Thomas Jefferson! Interesting there was no photo although I am not sure how advanced the photography was at that time.

How can you not love this chair?

Such a gorgeous fan with Versailles design
This was beautiful and very hard to photograph. I ended up getting it with my Samsung Galaxy S7 as the lighting was very tricky. It is so lovely I had to try to show it to you!

The gift shop for this exhibit was nothing but amazing, but how could it not be?

Fantastic selection of Marie Antoinette books, which are not all available online so if you see something you like at the exhibit, purchase at that time.

These were the gifts from that wonderful door with gold design. They make wonderful gift items for sure, for a friend or yourself!

I hope I did't bore you this week, but this exhibit was really done so well, I had to show you as much as possible! Be sure to stop and see it in person, it is worth the effort.
