Upon my recent stay in the city, I was lucky to be near DB Bistro Moderne, here is some info about the restaurant from their website:
Experience the new db bistro moderne! Chef Daniel Boulud’s contemporary French bistro has undergone a complete renovation, featuring sleek bistro interiors by Jeffrey Beers International, the addition of a handsome new cocktail bar, and a newly-crafted seasonal menu. db bistro serves updated bistro classics with a modern twist and market-driven French-American cuisine. The ‘Classique’ side of the menu features traditional French specialties while the ‘Du Marché’ side features seasonal dishes using the Greenmarket’s finest.
Located one block East of Times Square, db bistro is the perfect spot for pre- and post-theater dining, a Midtown business lunch or breakfast ‘L’Express’. A $48 pre-theater prix-fixe dinner menu is available in addition to a full a la care menu. The Lunch Prix Fixe menu will have you back to your desk or off to a matinee quickly and affordably.
I was here for breakfast, and pretty excited, as had never visited one of Daniel Boulud's restaurants.
The bar area is very modern and hip!
I really liked the clean lines of the decor, and the cool black and white photographs on the wall
Starting out your day with a latte is always a good idea! I was happy to see the regular and brown sugar cubes in the sugar bowl!
I ordered an omelet with spinach and mushroom, Potato Rösti and field greens
The portion size was very nice, omelet was fluffy and tasty. The Potato Rösti was out of this world!
This restaurant is known for it's famous burger below, I will have to come back again to try very soon! I like that they have a pre-theater menu since they are located near many of the Broadway shows. I will be back for sure, and probably even bring a friend!!
