The famous
Hotel Chelsea opened in 1884 is currrently closed. It is, however, a most famous landmark for it's Victorian Gothic, Queen Anne Style Architecture as well as the famous people who have lived here. The hotel is listed US National Register of Historic Places. The residents were many from various professions: Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Dennis Hopper, Mark Twain, Uma Thurman, Alice Cooper, Madonna lived here in the early 80's, Dylan Thomas, Jane Fonda to name a few. Oh if only the walls could talk, what amazing stories would they tell us.
