A Re-visit to The Tudor's Table Setting at Macy's NYC

On Saturday I finally made it back to the city after a few months away. Felt really good to see that skyline again, it never gets old and always brings a smile to my face. The day was to be gorgeous and after the chill in the morning, my teeth were chattering, it got very nice. I was just thrilled to be there to take some new photos and show those following the blog different areas of the city. I really love photography for the reason you can capture a moment in time and have it forever.

So I went to Macy's for their flower show. They also had an exhibit for The Tudors which last season premiere is tonight in the US. I just love this show. It is a great way to learn history and enjoy it at the same time. For the fashion people out there, the costumes are gorgeous. It is amazing how they can recreate that time period.
they had a really fabulous display with lots of large photos
jonathan rhys meyers is much cuter than the real Henry
the real Henry
the wonderful table setting display made me want to sit right down and have a bite to eat!!
takes you back in time with dinner with Henry the 8th around 1535
very healthy fruits.....
and vegetables were available
cheese and fruit for dessert....seems healthy enough ......

The 2011 Macy's Flower Show saw a Borgias table setting and you can check out my post HERE

Showtime seems to know how to make these period pieces which I just love. The storylines, the costumes and the scenery is always so over-the-top, I just j'adore it! You can rent both of these shows on DVD if you missed them when they aired and if you have an interest in this type of history, I highly suggest you see them very soon!
did I say how gorgeous it was? oh yeah, just a gorgeous day in NYC !!

The jealousy-scale has gone through the roof ;-) How lucky you are to be able to pop over to one of my fav cites in the world. The table display looks very healthy; I always believed the Tudors tucked into suckling pigs and spit roasts and huge meat-fests.
