My Latest Beauty Obessions

Since we are in a new month, I thought it would be nice to do a little different post. I received some new products for the holiday season, and a few really have stood out to me. I always love hearing about good products from fellow bloggers, and on instagram, so I thought I would do the same for you today! I am a cosmetic junkie, I will admit. When I first walked into a Sephora in Boston, I thought I died and went to heaven! I also love the shop Blue Mercury in New York City and the cosmetic department at Bergdorf Goodman has some unique items.

This post is not sponsored by any of these brands, or stores, just my thoughts on what I have been using lately and really seem to enjoy.

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment - This creamy preparation with Avocado Oil, gently moisturizes the delicate eye area. Kiehl's unique, concentrated texture does not migrate into eyes. Ophthalmologist-Tested. Dermatologist-Tested.

I had heard quite a bit about this product, Kiehl's is one of my favorite brands. I finally decided to try it and I must say, I think it's pretty amazing. For under $30, a great buy, avocado is good for you on the inside and outside! You do not need to use alot of product, so it will go a long way. I use morning and night, and I will buy another when this one is done.

YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer -

What it is: An illuminating primer that blurs imperfections and boosts the radiance of foundation.

What it does: Touche Elcat Blur Primer preps skin for foundation application, creating an improved, refined appearance: pores seem to be minimized, skin texture feels smoother, and skintone is more even. It’s enriched with four nourishing oils—corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil—to leave skin feeling incredibly soft without a greasy residue. Packed with blur technology, this universal primer provides a subtle, golden shimmer for ultimate luminosity.

What else you need to know: This product is noncomedogenic, and it’s suitable for all skintones, including sensitive ones.

I was lucky to receive a sample of this primer because full price is $52.00. It is pretty cool, it has little flecks of gold in it, and you can see a bit of the shimmer on your face. I don't think it is overly shimmer, just a touch. I always want to use primer, because your makeup goes on much nicer, but it is another step in the morning I tend to skip. I also like Hourglass Primer as well, not sure I will purchase the full size of this one, but I do like it very much. I don't think any products from YSL are bad quality. My favorite part about it would be the gold flecks, of course!

Marula Oil - Ideal for dry, dull, damaged, thick, coarse or unruly hair, and all skin types.  A lightweight, fast-absorbing, multitasking oil that pampers hair and skin with rich moisture.  Our cold-pressed marula oil is packed with powerful antioxidants and replenishing oleic acids for deep hydration, taming and softness.  This luxurious oil instantly adds shine and helps seal split ends to completely transform your hair.

This product was received from my Rachel Zoe Box of Style (the only monthly box I have actually not cancelled!), and I was so thrilled I did. I never heard of Marula Oil, this brand from Paul Mitchell, for use for hair and body. I also received a hair masque as well, have not tried it yet. They carry this line in Ulta, which I am not a huge fan of, but I will go there to pick up this product. This oil is AMAZING! It goes right into your skin, worked wonders on my hands and heels. My hands get very dry in the winter, and this was magic. It was also fabulous in my hair, I like to use the best products for my hair so it is healthy and shiny. You use a small amount of the product, so the full size which is 1.7 oz for $40 will last you a long while. I cannot recommend this one enough!

Oribe Split End Seal - Split End Seal Beautiful Color Treatment, 1.7 oz.
Gone are the days of choosing between beautiful color and luxuriantly healthy hair. This serious silkening serum and split-end mender is clinically proven to restore, fortify, and preserve tresses of every shade.Distribute evenly through damp or dry hair to repair and protect. Style as usual.

I had always wanted to try the Oribe hair line, and finally got a set this Christmas. The Split End Seal is really so so lovely! First, the smell is unreal. I had to look up what it was - a combo of Watermelon, Lychee and Edelweiss flower extracts - I swear Lychee is EVERYWHERE! I had a Lychee cupcake once in Chinatown and it was so delish! I really do like this product, I don't use a large amount of it, so it should last me a while. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you are looking for something to protect your hair and make it healthier, I would give it a try.

I hope I may have introduced you to some new products, or maybe those you were thinking of trying but weren't sure. I love the fact that I find out about new products from other bloggers or my faves on instagram. I think it is so much more genuine than celebrities who get paid to promote products.
