Merry Christmas!! I thought it would be fun to show you today the fabulous New York Palace hotel. This hotel used to be owned by Leona Helmsley, who was famous for being known as "the queen of mean". It is an absolute gorgeous place, and during the holiday season, it is magic!
One of the trees inside the hotel
The decor here is just to die for ! I love the bubbles hanging from the ceiling
Up close of another tree and the ceiling which I find the most beautiful
The gold scroll work here amazes me every time I see it. You can read about the history of the wonderful work of art HERE on the NY Palace's website.
The amazing gingerbread town, with trains going by, made by the very talented Michel Richard, of Pomme Palais and the new restaurant Villard . This was just too darn cute!!
Who does not love a gold elevator?
I think I am in need today of some of this Macaron Cake! It was oh so darn good!!
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope you have a most splendid day with family and friends. I hope Santa brings you everything you had on your wish list! I plan to have a very quiet day, enjoying my Mom's company, along with some tasty food. I appreciate all of you who visit this blog, and have met so many wonderful folks because of this blog. I look forward to many more new readers and friends in the coming year.
Words of Wisdom:
Buddy: I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel. - from the holiday movie, ELF, one of my favorites!!
