Henri Bendel's holiday windows are always very cool. This year was no exception. The holiday windows bring to life the illustrations of Al Hirschfeld, whose drawings of celebrities & Broadway performers were viewed in the New York Times for over seventy years. He has quite a long and distinguished career.
Mr. Hirschfeld's drawings include Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Woody Allen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Carol Channing, Whoopi Goldberg, Liza Minnelli, and Bernadette Peters and they were all transformed into sculptures by Tom Carroll Scenery for the windows. I thought it was pure genius. What a fun concept, and they just brought a smile to everyone's face that had the chance to see them in person.
You know I am all for cake, fake or real!
This mouse reminded me of the little guy in Ratatouille, with his chef hat on, trying to get to that cake!!

Merry Christmas Rosemary. I hope you saved me a Christmas Cannoli!
All the best for 2014 .
Paul xoxo
The characters on these windows are fantastic! Marilyn Manson in a Christmas window is so unique. Enjoy the Holidays.
I think you are looking at Whoopi Goldberg ! Thanx for stopping by!
I'm so glad you took photos of this. I only saw one of the characters (people, stars) on instagram. I love how they incorporated cake. That mouse at the end is precious. LOVE THIS. Great job Rosemary.
