Photo Gallery Tuesday " Spices and Tease"

This is a photo from the wonderful place called Spices and Tease which has a location in Grand Central Market and on Broadway. I love fresh spices for cooking, as you really taste the flavors so much better than supermarket spices. Once you try the fresh stuff, you will never go back. This place has a great selection of spices and teas, unique mixes as well. Here is some information from their website, and they do ship items as well:

We proudly reference, 30 varieties of homemade spice blends, such as, the Fish and Seafood Spices, the Moroccan Tajine Blend or the Special Red Meat and many more… 18 different Peppers 13 types of gourmet Salt and counting… Over 70 original Spices and Seeds 25 Herbs and Botanical Plants We carry 180 Exotic Imported Teas, including the Green Japanese Bancha, the South American Yerba Mate, the Chinese Black Oolong or White Bai Hao Yinzhen. Plus numerous Naturally flavored Teas, from the Strawberry Cardamom to the Dark Chocolate Orange, or the Green Jasmine.

What is your favorite spice to cook with and why?

What a gorgeous combination of colours which reminds me of the spice section in the souk during our recent trip to Qatar in the Middle East. I love to use cinnamon as it produces a wonderful exotic and warm aroma in the kitchen.
