A Visit to LA Burdick Chocolate Shop in the Flatiron District

I had the chance to visit the city in June, and meet with my friend Paula Burdick, who owns LA Burdick Chocolate Shop and Cafe.  Paula is one of the nicest folks you will meet, and I wanted to see what was new in the shop.
The place is just so darn cozy! I love the decor and the way it just makes you feel at home when you walk in the door.
They are a great stop in between shopping at Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Brooks Brothers nearby. A lovely place to rest those feet, have a tasty drink and a little something sweet!!
Luxembourgers (French Macarons)
Hand-piped tender meringues filled with all-natural flavored buttercreams, including chocolate, coffee, pistachio, raspberry, cinnamon, almond-citrus and pumpkin. They are on our Best Macaron list for New York City, in case you were not aware !!
Somehow, a chocolate croissant ended up right on my table!!
Here are those amazing french macarons! If you have never tried one, you must! They are so light and flavorful, a real treat to the palate.
How gorgeous is this latte art? I would feel guilty drinking this to be honest !!
This is what a table in heaven would look like! Words cannot describe what is going on here so I will let the photo do the job !
Their packaging is lovely and their chocolate makes a great gift to bring home to family and friends.
A really refreshing drink during these hot summer days, a lemon berry spritzer.
Everything here makes a very perfect, and original gift for family and friends back home. The items are also fabulous for business clients and customers.

This chocolate chip and ginger cake is 2 great flavors in one bite.
Chocolate Cigars are great for that man in your life. I really loved the unique box they came in.
Another unique item, I am a huge lover of any kind of nut so I would be thrilled with this assortment!!
The cappuccino here is pretty top rate.
Burdick's chocolate bars are made from the same fine chocolate couvertures we cook with. A chocolate bonbon is only as good as the chocolate used in its recipe - the same is true for bars. The Burdick blends, perennial favorites, can be ordered with or without nuts. The health bars incorporate nuts, dried fruits and seeds thought to be high in antioxidants. The single source bars demonstrate specific bean characteristics - the experience of terroir. All are gastronomically complex. Order individually or in sets.
This is what we all dream of enjoying after a day of shopping and walking in the flatiron district!!
Who would not love this birthday cake? A layered chocolate cake with rich ganache of dark chocolate and raspberry. They can write anything on this cake you wish. I love the touch of the little mouse decoration.
