Christmas Day 2012 in New York City

How would you spend Christmas Day in New York City? Let's pretend....... a walk past Cartier on 5th Avenue is great for the morning
Breakfast healthy at Le Pain Quotidien  OR
Pure Bliss at Financier Patisserie
the gorgeous Christmas Tree at The Plaza hotel
Gingerbread cannoli at the holiday tea Palm Court
It is lovely to just walk around and enjoy all the great decorations
this tree really takes your breathe away
love this one too
More window shopping for some rather large pearls on 5th Avenue
Then we get in our pink mini cooper limo for dinner
McCormick and Schmick is a great choice
Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center is a nice way to end the day. And maybe a cup of cocoa !!

I wish you all the happiest and most joyful Christmas in 2012. I hope you are sharing the day with those you love, family and friends, and never take anyone for granted. We need to cherish those who are the best to us, those who support us and make us smile. This life is really a rather short one, so you really need to make every moment count.

MERRY CHRISTMA

Rosemary, thank you so much for this lovely post. Though it is Christmas today is the first time I have spent it alone in my life.. it has been a very sad day.. and yet when I happened upon your post, I was filled with sweet memories of years gone by...my first trip to Rockefeller Center in winter... the patisseries... and so much more.. thank you for bringing it back and sharing the sites of NYC that really are beautiful and help to create lasting memories. Loved the sweet dessert photo shots! If I ever get back to NYC I am definitely heading there! especially the shot of the Financier Patisserie was alluring! Blessed and prosperous New Year!
graciously,
Cathy B

Great posting and love to see it even if it is a bit over the top. But I always make notes that when I ever will be in NY I have to visit that and that address. Thank you for your blog and hope you will continue next year.
The best for 2013.

SC, Happy to see you. This was a fun post of what a day in the city would be like. It really isn't that "over the top" for nyc. I could have picked much fancier places. But, you want special experiences on Christmas Day. You can do maybe one of these places and have a fun day. Thank you for your continued support.
