Financier Patisserie at Park Avenue

Financier Patisserie is one of my favorite places in New York City! Opened in 2002 by by restaurateur Peter Poulakakos (of Harry's Café & Harry's Steak) and Executive Pastry Chef Eric Bedoucha (of Bayard's, Lutece and La Grenouille) Financier Patisserie is just a treat to visit.
This location here opened last August on Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue, they have now 11 locations in the city. This is a nice area to eat outside should the weather permit.
gorgeous landscaping out front, these cabbage roses are one of my mom's favorites
the decor is just quite quaint and you feel like you are in a pastry shop in Paris! the employees are always very friendly and really know good customer service.

this counter is just plain unreal
we had lunch which was an amazing roasted tomato and goat cheese quiche with a small salad on the side
oh, yes, then there is that counter I told you about.......

these are mini desserts and would be so fabulous to take if having dinner at someone's home or to serve yourself. I think anyone would be thrilled to be able to enjoy these little works of art!!

we were given a little mini pumpkin pie to sample.....this did not last long and it tasted just like homemade

When you are in the city, be sure to try to find one of Financier's 11 locations and head inside. You will enjoy yourself quite a bit, they have salads, sandwiches for lunch or a light dinner. And then of course the pastries, well, I think my photos pretty much say all you need to know about those.
