A Must Visit : Columbus Circle

Columbus Circle is a must visit for anyone going to NYC. Completed in 1905, and renovated a century later, was designed by William P Eno, a businessman, who pioneered many innovations in road safety and traffic control.
The Columbus monument was created by Italian sculptor Gaetano Russo and has been at this location since 1892 as part of the 400th anniversary of Columbus arrival to America.
This is the view from the Robert restaurant, located in the MAD museum, which stands for Museum of Arts and Design

Just a gorgeous statue, and on a day where the sky is a fabulous blue, a wonderful site to see

The view from the Time Warner Center, a fun place for shopping and high level eating

You can stroll thru Central Park from this location as well, lots of fun things to do in this area. Have you been to Columbus Circle? What did you enjoy most about it?

Nice pictures. I enjoyed most the food court underneath from the whole earth shop where you get excellent food for take away to central park.

I've only been there once a number of years ago and unfortunately my photographs of the globe were blurred. From memory there was a wall of clocks nearby I think, giving the time in different continents. Would love to go back some day.

Great photographs.

You must go to Robert on the 9th floor of the MoDa building. It overlooks the circle and has a spectacular view of the park!
