The Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show

I had the pleasure to attend the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show the end of April. I was given a press pass to attend by the organizers and I thank them for that.....it was quite amazing. There are many vintage shops in New York City, but it is great to have 90 of the best vendors from the US, Canada and other parts of the world under one roof. Costume designers can be found here looking for period pieces for shows like Boardwalk Empire or Mad Men. You can also run into stylists like Rachel Zoe and fashion designers like the Olsen twins. Designers come here for inspiration for their collections. I will feature some of the great vendors whom I had the pleasure of talking with and they allowed me to shoot for this blog. The next show is in October and I would highly suggest you take a visit if you are near the NYC area during that time.

the show takes place at the Metropolitan Pavillion 125 West 18th Street
this was a really great print and love the pink and green together......
any of these dresses could easily be worn to a current event ......
this was an amazing bag and I just had to show it to you.....these styles are always in.....
a vintage Oscar de la Renta to the right.....this was, well, words cannot describe.......the dress on the left is pretty sweet as well
there is so much vintage here....you really can have a great time....prices range from low to high depending on what you are looking for ......
I cannot imagine looking for something here and not finding it.....so much selection and great quality as well
Daybreak Vintage does rentals for film and theater
I needed to walk away from this ring selection because I am a ring lover and cannot have enough...some really neat ones caught my eye but I behaved......
loved the print on this dress from Daybreak Vintage ...some of the movies they worked with were Amelia (loved this movie), Julie and Julia (how can you not love this one), Shutter Island and one of my favorite television shows..... Mad Men.

Be sure to stay tuned to this blog for more features on the great vendors at the Manhattan Vintage Show. I met so many nice people and they really were such a delight. The people and the vintage merchandise made my visit to the show more enjoyable than I could have imagined!!!

This show looks wonderful - how I wish I could go!
I credit Mad Men (besides being a great series) with changing my attitude to my body and how to wear clothes that celebrate curves.
Thank you for your visit to my blog and thus the opportunity to discover yours - I will definitely be back!
