2010 Philadelphia Flower Show Passport to the World

This past Wednesday, March 3rd, I attended the Philadelphia Flower Show. They have a theme each year and this one was Passport to the World with displays taking you to India, Singapore, South Africia, Brazil to name a few. I was very much looking forward to spring after all the snow we have been seeing lately in Pennsylvania. The show is held at the Philadelphia Convention Center right across from the Reading Terminal Market.

As well as the flower displays, they have 150 gardening presentations thru the week - a marketplace with 500 vendors selling jewelry to garden supplies and flowers (roses were $4.98 a dozen!!) - live cooking demonstrations from local celebrity chefs 3 times each day - Lidia Bastianich, one of the best italian cooks, was a special guest on Friday March 5th signing copies of her new book and her wine bottles. Her wine was to be available Friday for purchase as something new from last year is a International Wine and Spirits Garden as well as a International Dessert and Coffee Bar -

a little for everyone at the flower show !!! Shall we begin ?

Love this post! And, the cannoli + teaparty ones. This flower show looks like a must-see for people like me who cannot live without fresh flowers. Thank you for making us aware.
