June..... the Month of Brides, Cake Couture and a Wedding Shoe

June is a very popular wedding month. I thought I would show some wonderful wedding gown windows from Saks Fifth Avenue as well as a shop in Chelsea. I am sorry I do not have the names of who made them, some are on the windows, but too many to write down.

They also have some Cake Courte with them - the cakes were made by Alice's Tea Cup which is a cute tea house in the city. They have a few locations, it is always a busy place so reservations are a good idea!!
strapless is always quite popular and look at that great cake! yummy! I love the fact the cake isn't regular white icing.....such pretty details on it
the little jacket on this one is adorable......look at all that work ....amazing......
very elegant and again stapless.....so simple ........love the pin accent .........
amazing dresses and look at the cake....what artwork.....just lovely......
this was really elegant and old fashioned with the long veil....very lacey but again "Strapless" ......
a lovely wedding shoe from the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show
I think this is very pretty as well...they are all different really just depends on your taste and what looks good on your body.....love the cake as well ................
this was probably one of my faves, the beading on this is just amazing and love how the cake compliments the dress, almost matches it .....
I was able to get real up close of the beading....how wonderful is that.....more than likely done by hand.....I didn't do well in my singer sewing maching class my mom enrolled me into so I cannot even imagne making something like this !!!!!
this one has all what looks like roses on the bottom...so so pretty and elegant and again "strapless" ...neat cake idea as well.........
same dresses up close....ah ha Vera - we should have known...look at the beading on the one to the right!! I think any girl/woman would be a princess for a day in any one of these dresses!!!
had to do a close up of one of those cakes.....look at the draping of that fondant!! ( I watch Cake Boss and have learned many baking terms....like "dirty ice" )
a Plaza wedding would be quite amazing, don't you think?
a gorgeous dress in a shop near the Limelight Marketplace in Chelsea
a beautiful wedding cake at Martine's Chocolates in Bloomingdales on the 6th floor.....

I don't know about you but I am ready to either be in a wedding or attend one after this post......is the best part the wedding dress or the cake? I can't decide!!

Such beautiful dresses! And those cakes! Now that we have shows like Cake Boss, we know exactly how much work goes into those creations. xoxo

I agree...I have a few posts of the Cake Boss on the blog as saw his live show in my hometown. The place was packed and he was alot of fun especially with the kids. May they all inspire to be great bakers !!

I would have a hard time picking out which dress I like the best. They are all so beautiful. My favorite cake would be the chocolate one with the draping of the fondant. Wonderful post!
