2011 Coffee and Tea Festival NYC "Latte Art"

We are back at the Coffee and Tea Festival which I cannot praise enough....
The Latte Art demonstration was really interesting ..........they took questions from the crowd about issues when making lattes at home .........
this machine was quite a serious one......would look great on my kitchen counter........
various syrups for flavoring the lattes....almond is classic but lavender is quite interesting.....a lavender latte......
the art part of it really takes quite a talent, for sure ......
that looks amazing coming out of the "serious" machine .......
ta-da ..the finished products....too pretty to drink.......
some of the art that was displayed at the show was really great...I would have bought both of these for my kitchen but I was behaving in the shopping department!!

I am a huge coffee and tea drinker...and if money was no object, I would have bought both paintings! They were really sweet in person...such talented people out there!! :)

Hello Rosemary:
We should so much have enjoyed this. Not only informative, but entertaining too. We allways think that it is so clever the way in which it is possible to place a 'decoration' on the top of a latte. Such fun.

Have a happy weekend!

I REALLY like coffee...A LOT!

I am a french vanilla coffee drinker (I adore the flavored stuff) but only if it is brewed as such. I really don't like the flavored syrups as they are way to sweet for me. I will never understand why some coffee places (ahem...Dunkin Donuts...cough...Starbucks) can sell ground coffee flavored but to purchase it in the store requires a pump of syrup.

I guess this is just one of those weird things I'll never understand.

Heading to The City soon to see the exhibit at The Met - can't wait! I can't even think of The City without thinking of you!

Beth, I think it is probably easier for them to add the syrup to the coffee than have 5 different pots of coffee brewing with 5 different flavors. Sorry to say I like Dunkin and Starbucks...will be having a Keurig giveaway tomorrow so get ready!! Should be exciting week on the blog...:)
Heading to the Met in June for the McQueen exhibit...should be amazing!
Did you get your coffee you won here? It was mailed quite a bit ago. Have a great Sunday!!
