The 2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show

This year's Philadelphia Flower show was a real chic and classy exhibit. Just like Paris herself. The numbers for the attendance for this year's show said it all - 265,000 visitors to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, a 12% increase from last year.

Visitors came from every state in the nation and from around the world. Popular guests included the first lady of Pennsylvania, Susan Corbett, with her daughter Kate; noted designer David Stark, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and signer Patti LaBelle. After a guided tour, Ms. LaBelle declared: "I'm in wonderland".

Let's visit wonderland....shall we ......

Springtime in Paris
This year’s presentation, “Springtime in Paris,” will greet guests with a 33-foot-high base of the Eiffel Tower, then transport them to romantic and elegant scenes of Paris through a host of remarkable gardens.  Parisian parks in full bloom, gardens of lilac, lavender and roses, and blooming topiary animals will lead to the Carousel Stage, where lively performances will include can-can dancers, singers and musicians set among the iconic images of Paris.
