Crowne Plaza Times Square Hotel Review

For the second straight year, I stayed at the Crown Plaza Times Square hotel located on Broadway and West 49th Street, it has become a favorite of mine. They recently had a 85 million dollar renovation and the rooms are really very nice and large for NYC. I was very pleased to see I had an even better room than last year. I was one happy gal !!

this was the view from my room.....just gorgeous !!
the reflection of the buildings in the windows next door
just a beautiful room and very spacious indeed
someone else could have stayed in the bathroom, it was that big!!
something new in the hotel is the wonderful illy caffe' and pastry from Balthazar Bakery
since I have yet to try their pastries, this was a must for one morning breakfast
this was the best latte and chocolate croissant I ever had!! problem is the hours are only in the morning and I told the lady at the desk of the restaurant it would be good to keep it open for those who may want a coffee later and/or dessert/pastry. Big thumbs up to this add on by the hotel !!

Daily Resort Fee $40.16 (as of 06/25/19)

Hotel prices are at their lowest in the months of January and February; their highest September and October. Sunday nights are the lowest prices for hotel rooms, in most cases. My go to places for checking prices for hotels are TrivagoTrip AdvisorHotels.com and Travelzoo. I am learning quite a bit about booking hotels during this process of featuring different hotels on this blog.

Always remember to check the hotel's website itself, they are really trying to have you book direct and sometimes offer specials or a discount with AAA that is cheaper than the websites I mentioned above. I am also finding that if you book on your mobile device, you can save some money as well. I actually got a better rate via my mobile phone than using my AAA discount online direct at the hotel. You should really do some research on your price for hotel a few different ways, and ALWAYS book a room that you can cancel, you never know what may happen in the future.

My rating for this hotel on a scale of 1 to 10 would be an 8.

I agree and you can even stop in for something if you are not staying at the hotel but in that area...I just may do that. The latte I had was one of the best ever! just amazing!!

We stayed there with the kids last fall, the weekend of the Marathon ... and at a great rate! It was lovely indeed. I'd highly recommend it to all as well.
