The Plaza Hotel Weddings and Basement

The Plaza is probably one of the most popular hotels in NYC. I have had my share of those who have never heard of it but that is another story altogether! It has been having it's ups and downs lately but I think it is still rather a gorgeous place. You can even have a wedding there. Let's take a peek into this historic hotel via the basement...no food hall today however...

the outside of the hotel is really so quite elegant

you go down the escalators to the basement.....

a Plaza Wedding would be quite amazing I would think

the next dress is called the Queen of the Sea

for your elegant Plaza Wedding

nothing but the best will do

my friend and I were in awe of this gown

another shop next to this gown ....loved the way the reflection was in the mirror

this was Demel's location but they have since gone and a regular cafe is there

looks similar but not......

cupcakes were cute but not Demel

as soon as I hear where Demel is relocating, you will be the first to know

The Palm Court in the Plaza serves Afternoon Tea 2pm-5pm seven days a week. They have a nice $24 lunch for restaurant week Mon-Fri. from July 12, 2010 to September 6, 2010. I have a feeling the afternoon tea will be on my agenda in the future.

It looks so different inside than what I'd imagined it would be! It reminds me of a mall ... fancy mall!

Maybe next time we visit NY my daughter and I will attend the tea! I'd love to stay at the Plaza, we always stay at the Marriott Marquis because we are Marriott rewards members but sometimes it's great to shake things up a bit! xo

Debby: Let me know the date and I would love to join you! It looked so wonderful as I saw those having the tea when we were walking to the basement. As for staying there, that would be just so fabulous!!!!! I can't even think of that to be honest!!
