Happy Father's Day!!

I would like to wish all out there a very happy Father's Day today. Since my Dad is no longer with us, I thought it would be nice to do a tribute on this day. I think my father would have been very proud of this blog and amazed by it as well. He was always positive about my photography which for me was an honor. My parents had me later in life and being a only child we were very close. Being an Italian family we had great food, Frank Sinatra playing on the radio and just really good times.

he didn't have many jobs but this one at a gas station allowed him to enjoy the great cars of the era...that's him with the sunglasses on!! I just love those old cars with the white tires.....this was much before my time but what a great era to have been in.....

he was quite handsome (maybe I am a little bias)

very much the dapper dresser! he loved clothes and wore them well

he finally opened a shoe repair shop in our town and stayed there for 50 years! he did the best repair work you could find..such a dying breed now but still I see many in NYC!!

here he is fixing those shoes....

Hope you all have a great Father's Day today and for those whose Dad's are no longer with them, like myself, remember...they are always in your heart!!
