Mari's New York at the Limelight Marketplace

When I attended the Manhattan Vintage Show in April, I headed back to the Limelight Marketplace since it was near the vintage show in Chelsea
the Limelight has been having issues with not being very busy which I find hard to believe....I think the space is really neat and the shops/food/restaurants inside have some amazing items......they are now looking to turn it into a department store, not sure how that will go over.........
Mari's New York is one of those places......artisinal brownies....what can you get better than that??
these looked pretty amazing as I spoke to the really nice lady behind the counter
she allowed me to take photos of all the items which I was thrilled about....the brownies are the perfect size for just a little something sweet ....
then I saw the Bacon Jam...yep, Bacon Jam....omg...I tried it and it was unreal....she also puts them in the brownies so I had to take one of those home......
some of the flavors are coconut, caramel sea salt, thai coffee (took one of those home as well), heat and blonde bombshell ......
these were specifically for the Limelight which had sprinkles of sugar on the top as it used to be a disco in the 80's.....I found out at the end I was speaking with Mari herself and she was so nice and very friendly. She gives her proceeds for the seasonal brownies to charity each year, how great is that?? They can also be ordered online of course and some places in New York City carry them as: Barney's New York, Bergdorf Goodman Women's Store, Blue Tree on Madison Avenue, Carnegie Hall, GRAB Speciality Foods in Brooklyn.

Limelight Marketplace "The Food"

Okay so the food in this place is pretty amazing. I love the fact that all these great stores/bakeries/cafe's/restaurants are all under one roof. This is a great place to go should weather be not so great in the city but you can still enjoy some unique shopping and yummy food.

The famous Grimaldi's Pizzeria was to open in December, it wasn't ready when we were there, but should be just wonderful to try a slice of their famous pizza. I will be back for this place, maybe January sounds nice when it's a bit cold to be walking the streets for very long. Well on we go to explore what is opened.........
thank god we were just at the Chocolate Show because it would have been bad if we were hungry....plus we didn't have room to carry any more bags!!
The Little Candy Cake Co. had adorable items and great wedding favors
Cupcake Stop is one of my faves and I have had them from their truck
it was so good I didn't want one of these.....they won best cupcake on the food network
is this not just so adorable? I was really impressed with the place...big time
if you are not into coffee...Miss Tea is here for you
Whisk is a fun kitchen shop and great to bring gifts home to family and friends
Baci Gelato ..the only location in the city...did I say this place has 3 floors and we are only on the 1st floor?
Cappuccino Crunch....Pistachio....these look amazing
Ferraro(hazlenut), Banana Split, Mango,Blood Orange, Mint Chip - how do you decide on 1 flavor??
it's not getting any better as we walk...look at this cake!! This is the Butterfly Bakeshop
I don't know about you but I would love this Bug Cake any time of the year !!
how cozy does this feel? I really do think this place is quite a gem .......
gourmet cheese is here as well and displayed so beautifully
fresh breads available
meat counter looked amazing !!

So I can safely say this is a must see place when in the Flatiron district. It has some of the most glorious places you would visit in the city all under one roof. I will be back very soon....that gelato is calling me daily.

Limelight Marketplace

Upon our end to the wonderful Chocolate Show, we walked up 6th avenue to get a cab back uptown. To my wandering eyes did appear but the Limelight Marketplace so we had a bit of a detour from our cab. This 163 year old church that formally was home to a nightclub called Limelight in the 80's is now a mini-mall.
After a 15 million dollar renovation, it is 20,000 square feet of shops, cafes and food concession delight. First part of post will be the place itself as the food deserves it's own post......
as we were walking to 6th Avenue we came across this great window for Apple ..these characters always make me laugh !!
gorgeous architecture surrounds you when walking in NYC and I just love it
here we are...looks like a lovely church from the outside
New York's Festival of Shops ....I am soo ready !!
gorgeous when you first walk in
loved the red carpet and black and white floors....very chic
Face Stockholm  has great make up selection
I think this is the Orbit Gallery
pretty decorations
It's Sugar has a shop here to give Dylans some competition but it is different and wonderful as well
dressed out of candy
my kind of dresses
Petrossian is here as well which is great for the best speciality food items like caviar
my favorite LeSportsac has a shop here as well..check out that great gold bag...similar to Coach's line but much cheaper but not cheap on quality. They just started making shoes...I am so in trouble!!
this was a little dizzy but pretty at the same time
another of my faves, MarieBelle is here with a cute, cute cart....love it !!
