Atlantic Grill Restaurant Review

Someone explain to me how it is July 31st ? I don't know where this year is going! Last year I spent my birthday in the city and dined at Atlantic Grill located in the Upper West Side. It was a wonderful choice after seeing The Nutcracker Ballet (you must go if you have not, it is beyond fantastic). I spend quite a bit of time on the UWS as it's so much more of a neighborhood feel as well as great dining and shopping along with museums. I choose the scallop dinner, seafood is my favorite, and they were just so delish!

For the chocolate lover, a top dessert AND 

For my birthday, a lovely surprise along with some Prosecco on the house for myself and my friend, and a bag of their chocolate cookies to take with me. The food and service was divine and I hope to head back when in the area, they have lunch/brunch specials which look top notch. Sushi is a big menu item here if you are a fan, lots of choices. The restaurant has been in this location near Lincoln Center for 20 years!

They Say it's My Birthday ......

Well, yes, today is my birthday! I am spending the day with my mom at a local tea shoppe called Sugar's Tea Room. It is so much fun to enjoy tea with your mom. Since my Dad passed away in 2004, I try to enjoy every moment I have with her. She has always been very supportive of me and is always ready to give advice when needed.

I may find some cannoli at the end of the day as well. A great substitute for a birthday cake any day !!

December Birthdays

I received this great postcard the other day from Henri Bendel for my birthday discount - such a nice touch I thought!! 

maybe I will use it for one of their great bags as above...just so adorable 

my birthday is today and thought I would share some of my cake choices this one would do just fine for the celebration - my mom's is in another week as well, we have many December birthdays 

December is always the time of year for the first snowfall and wonderful holiday decorations (if we are lucky in the northeast and don't get snow on Thanksgiving) 

these cakes from Zaro's would make me quite happy as well - I was always lucky my birthday is a few weeks before Christmas so I didn't get 1 gift for both - 

I could find many things in here to my liking - not cake related of course!! 

Junior's cheesecake - great birthday cake choice - and they do ship their cakes!!

I think after a day of shopping and having dinner, a lovely sit down with my mom having tea by the fireplace with the Christmas tree is a great way to end my birthday. 

and of course my cannoli birthday cake.........
