A Visit to Argo Tea Cafe'

As I always say, when you travel be sure to try different restaurants and cafes. The only place I will stop in is Starbucks, mostly for their phone charging ability, which is needed when I am traveling.  Argo Tea Cafe' is a place I would highly recommend to visit. When I first stopped in for a drink, and to chill out from walking all over the city, I was very impressed. I love tea just as much as I love coffee. Argo works with the best local and global tea, coffee and food artisans and contributes back to their communities.

I LOVE when I walk in, they always have 2 drinks for you to sample. This makes it a bit easier to choose which drink you want to enjoy. A great idea!

They carry coffee as well here, if you are not a tea drinker, one of the best from illycaffè.
The many signature blends available for you to enjoy at home
I enjoyed the whitefrostea with a spinach pastry.

One of my favorites is below the Earl Grey Vanilla Creme and I did purchase some to make at home. It is so tasty, you really don't need sugar or honey. I love the fact that it is tasty hot or iced.

The chai is amazing as well, and I am not a fan of strawberries, but I really enjoy their strawberry tea! I think that says alot if you don't normally like that flavor, but you do at Argo Tea Cafe'

I really enjoy loose tea as the flavor is so richer, and if you have never tried loose tea, you must. It has a really big difference.

Argo Tea The Garden Direct Collection

As you all know, I am as much a tea drinker as a coffee drinker. When Argo Tea contacted me about trying their new Garden Direct Collection, I was pretty excited. There is nothing like drinking loose tea, it has so much more flavor than the tea bags. I am also a huge fan of Rooibos which is one of the new flavors, along with Armenian Mint and Genmaicha.

I have visited a few of the Argo Tea locations in the city, and they are always a great spot for a small bite to eat and some wonderful tea.

These loose leaf selections have so much quality, you can see in the tea here. Once I tried loose leaf, I cannot have tea with a tea bag any longer!

I enjoyed my tea in my fancy teacup from Penhaligon's with a little big of honey for sweetness. I just love honey with tea, it is so soothing, especially before bedtime.

Genmaicha - Stunningly beautiful, this Japanese favorite is the perfect balance of fresh vegetal Sencha and nutty undertones from the toasted rice.

Armenian Mint - Delicious and refreshing, Armenian Mint tea revitalizes the mind, body and soul, naturally without caffeine.

Rooibos - Grown only in South Africa, this flavorful and full-bodied tea is caffeine-free and has strong notes of honey and fruit.

Argo Tea Cafe'

Argo Tea Cafe' is one of those places you come across by surprise and are so thrilled! I first found this place last year when I did an overnight for the Chocolate Show. There was one near our hotel and it was a great place for a breakfast bite to enjoy. They have 6 locations in New York City, this one being in the Flatiron district.
They have a wonderful selection of loose tea for purchase.
They have wonderful breakfast parfaits, panini's and bakery selections.
I love these paintings that are on the walls, available for sale. It is so great that they support local artists.
My breakfast was a cup of earl grey tea and a tomato basil quiche

Argo Tea Cafe' is a wonderful place to check out, with locations in Chelsea, Union Square, Columbus Circle, NYU Langone Medical Center, New York University. Any reason to go near the Flatiron Building is a great one for me, it is just such a treat to the eye each time I see it !!
