Organica Advanced Sleep Lotion Review

I was recently able to try for about a month a product called Organica Advanced Sleep Lotion. We all need to get more sleep at night, so many things racing in our heads do not allow us to rest properly. I decided to give this a try, and found it to be quite lovely.

Made from ethically sourced, plant-based ingredients that can give you a deeper sleep. Can improve hydration for those with dry & aging skin.

I recently received a sleep mask recently and the two together worked well. I didn't fall asleep within minutes, but I did relax after applying as the scent is very soothing. The cream is very thick and rich, makes your skin very soft as well. I like the fact it is made with all natural ingredients such as almond, oat, lavendar oil. This makes a unique gift, especially for Mother's Day coming up, to give Mom some much needed relaxation at night.

This lotion is hypoallergenic, cruelty free,organic, gluten free and paraben/sulfate free. It is a very nice product to try and or give as a gift to help get the rest we all deserve!

Throwback Thursday " Union Square Flower Market"

A very cool shot here of the Union Square Flower Market from the Library of Congress. I am not sure what year it was taken. So many details here for us to enjoy. Those flowers look like they are in the best condition. I love all the hats on the men and the one elegant lady. I walk around the city anymore thinking of all these folks who walked before me in the same spots over 200 years ago. Amazing.

The 10 Must Try Desserts in NYC

There are so many great desserts in New York City. The obviously famous Cronut is not on my list. I figured everyone knows about that one. I wanted to pick my personal favorites, that I just really think are so worth the calories. The dessert you will go back home and tell your friends about, that you will still dream about a month after you have enjoyed it. There are so many talented pastry chefs in New York City, and we are lucky enough that they are willing to share their creations with us. What a wonderful life we live. In no particular order, as that would be impossible:

Breads Bakery - Chocolate Babka - The most mind-blowing babka you will ever enjoy. It is life changing and they now ship which is so very fantastic!

Bouchon Bakery - Nutter Butter Cookie - Thomas Keller is pure genius and his nutter butters make you smile from ear to ear. I love peanut butter and these are one of my faves to bring home.

Doughnut Plant - Tres Leche Donut - This doughnut was produced like the cake, 3 milks, and is really oh so worth the investment. Words cannot describe and they should be in every city.

Baked by Melissa - Cupcakes and Macarons - Mini desserts are the best, you can try a few different flavors and not get sick and they are great for parties. They ship the cupcakes and macarons direct to your home or they make a fabulous gift.

Pop Bar - Gelato on a stick - If you love ice cream, gelato is the next level. This is quite fantastic and great for young and old to indulge.

Breads Bakery - Chocolate Rugelach - Another life changing item from Breads Bakery, they need to be on every block in the city. This rugelach is so wonderful, soft and fresh, like I have never had before.

Lady M - Green Tea Crepe Cake - A crepe cake is like nothing you have ever tasted. Light, fluffly, not overly sweet but oh so good for the tummy. They do ship as well which would make for a unique birthday cake celebration.

Jacques Torres - Chocolate Covered Cheerios- Jacques Torres makes some wonderful chocolate items, but the chocolate covered cheerios are number 1 in my book. So. Much. Fun.

Levain Bakery - Any of the Cookies - These are heaven on earth, and they freeze well if you wish to take a dozen home. I usually cut them in half and freeze that way. They offer shipping from their website right to your door as well.

Veniero's - Cannoli - The best cannoli I have had so far in the city, with either vanilla or chocolate ricotta filling, oh so darn good. They also dip the shells in chocolate as well, for that little extra touch. A wonderful institution in the East Village which should be on that bucket list.

The Mask Bar New York

My recent visit to Greenwich Village found me inside a Korean beauty shop called The Mask Bar. These kind of places are dangerous for me, but I was proud I held somewhat restraint! They have 2 locations in the city, in the Village and in Soho. I am sure I will be back on another trip.

Snail mask sheet and royal jelly mask - very interesting products here - Korean beauty is all the rage these days, they have some very cool items.

I really wanted to try the Caviar lotion and toner, probably will pick up next visit. I plan to pop in the Village more often than I have been, it is such a great place just to chill out and walk around.

The prices are very reasonable as well - how cute are these body lotions?

I purchased one of these masks to try, it worked very nicely. I like the fact that you can purchase just one of the masks to see how it works for you.

This looked very cool as well, I may pick up on my next visit. I love all the packaging as well, so much fun. The whole store just made me happy!

The Honey Milk Candy Mask went home with me as well and I have yet to try it.

These are really calling me therefore I need to get back sooner than later to pick up one or both!

If you love to try unique beauty products, I would recommend a trip to The Mask Bar. I love trying new lines and see what magic they can do for my skin.

New York Historical Society Gift Shop

We are back at the New York Historical Society today, checking out their gift shop. I always have told you that if you are looking to shop for unique gifts in the city, museum shops are the best. You find things you will not find anywhere else and the receiver will be very happy.

Their cafe titled Parliament Espresso and Coffee has some great items, like this nutella croissant.

These necklaces just blew my mind and the prices were very reasonable. Needless to say, one did go home with me and I wear it very often.

Gorgeous selection of Tiffany products with their wonderful new Tiffany lamp exhibit. That will be featured here very shortly, it is such an amazing exhibit and one that is ongoing at the historical society.

This bag which features Bill Cunningham was so darn awesome! I would have loved to take it home, but I refrained myself and just went with the necklace. What a fun gift for the Bill Cunningham fan!

Throwback Thursday " Marilyn Monroe"

A very cool photo of Marilyn Monroe from 1955 on the balcony of the Ambassador Hotel, located at Park Avenue between East 50 and 51st Streets. The photographer was Ed Feingersh (1924-1961). The neo-classical hotel, built in 1921, is no longer there. Marilyn Monroe, passed away in 1962, an amazing 56 years ago. You wonder what she must have been thinking just looking over this balcony at the busy streets of the city.

Mapping America's Road At The NY Historical Society

We are visiting the New York Historical Society today for some serious map history. This exhibit, Mapping America's Road , was on exhibit from November 3, 2017 to March 11, 2018. It is really a wonderful historical exhibit of maps from the 18th and early 19th centuries.
