What a gorgeous building! Located on the Broadway northwest corner with Houston, built in 1892-1894. It is a steel and iron frame, with brick, stone and terra-cotta facing. When I looked up the history of this building that I have walked past many times and admired, I wasn't shocked the architect was Stanford White. Every building that man has something to do with, I am in love. This is the only McKim, Meade and White building in the Noho area. Be sure to enjoy this beauty when in the area of the city, and read about the Stanford White scandal that rocked the world.
