Dining at Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal is a wonderful place to visit when in the city. The building itself is just gorgeous, and it offers many dining options that are quite affordable for New York City.

In what is called their Dining Concourse, they have a selection of 21 various selections (Shake Shack is coming soon) which I think is perfect for groups who have different tastes in food. You have a wide variety of choices, and even if you are just looking for a little snack, it does the trick. Let's take a peek at some of the places you will come across..........

Two Boots Pizza is a great place for a tasty slice of unique pizza. They have a sit down restaurant or you can just take your meal and eat in the seating in the concourse itself.

Magnolia Bakery is here and you can enjoy their fabulous cuppies and other tasty desserts. A happy quick snack during the day of seeing the city.
The area is very open and lots of seating to rest those weary feet

Ciao Bella Gelato any time of the year is just so yummy, if you have never tried gelato, this is your chance
They also make Banana Nutella Crepes and this photo is making me very hungry
The famous Junior's is here as well with a take out area and sit down restaurant

Famous for their cheesecake, their sandwiches are pretty amazing too
Neuhaus chocolates can be found here as well and their confections are so over-the-top
Zaro's Bakery has amazing breads
colorful cakes
and challah bread which would make fabulous french toast !!

I just wanted to show you some of the wonderful places to visit in Grand Central for a variety of food options. There is also the Grand Central Market, The Campbell Apartment, Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, Cipriani Dolce and the famous Grand Central Oyster Bar. I hope that if you plan to visit the city, you make sure to have Grand Central Terminal on your "to do" list.

Today's Words of Wisdom:  “In Grand Central you cannot shilly shally or dilly dally. Everyone rushes and dashes and zips and zaps and whizzes like crazy and oh what a dizzy and delightful place.” Parting words from Maira Kalman’s children’s book Next Stop Grand Central.

Good Morning Rosemary, What a fabulous place Grand Central Terminal is. Do you know with all the wonderful choices of food I think I would probably end up missing my train. Magnolia Bakery looks like a place I would love to visit and without a doubt Ciao Bella for the gorgeous looking Gelato.
Maybe, I could just have a week's holiday eating at Grand Central.... only joking, it looks an amazing place though.
I loved the words of wisdom by Maira Kalman..... they made me smile.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne

Wow! There really is something for everyone. The pizza looks amazing and I would definitely stop for a cupcake. There is a Magnolia Bakery in Bloomingdales in Dubai so I popped in and bought some when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Have a good weekend!

Hi, Rosemary, gorgeous post and who could resist a banana Nutella crêpe? It might sound silly but being at Grand Central always was a very special moment for me when I was in New-York, so mythical ! My daughter had lunch there at quite a nice place too, could it be the Oyster Bar ? xo

Rosemary, can I hug you? This post has me drooling! You intentionally posted this on a Friday. HAHAHA I did not know ALL of this was in Grand Central Terminal (I was calling it Station...MY BAD!). It's better than the things you find in airports. OMG'd!!! I need to catch a train and just go there. The food and restaurants are absolutely to die for. Doll, my coffee came yesterday evening. I want to thank you again. I haven't opened it yet. But I will do a post for Monday on it. I can't wait. Have a great weekend! You are so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING New YORK!

I am always amazed at the variety and quality of foods to be discovered at Grand Central Station. Years ago my family (ages 13-78) took a holiday trip to NYC and stayed at the Hyatt Grand Central Station. We found it to be the perfect 'central' location for us all to get around the city. Your photos are drool worthy!

We dined at GCT two weeks ago during our visit to NYC...we had an architectural tour that was to begin at GCT, so we grabbed a quick bite in the Dining Concourse. One thing we learned is that all dining venues at GCT have to be a NY-based restaurant...you won't find any McDonald's or Wendy's or such. They want to showcase New York eating - and I think they do it well!

I've always heard Grand Central have some hidden gems. I love their shops too!

BTW, my hubby Mr. Sweet tooth has become a major follower of your blog too. LOL

Have a great weekend.
