EAST MIDTOWN PARTNERSHIP LAUNCHES PASSPORT PROGRAM

New York, NY April 4, 2013 – The East Midtown Partnership launched its new Passport program today, providing cardholder discounts at restaurants, retail shops, professional services, health clubs, and more throughout the East Midtown district. Passport cards are free and can be ordered and registered online at www.eastmidtown.org/passport.

“Our new Passport program will give consumers special benefits when they shop and dine at some of the best establishments in New York,” said Rob Byrnes, President of the East Midtown Partnership. “This program supports local businesses in our community and will afford tens of thousands of cardholders an opportunity to experience the great stores, restaurants, and services we have in our area.”

“The website will be regularly updated with new offers from retailers and restaurants participating in the program,” Byrnes added. For a current list of participating businesses visit http://eastmidtown.org/Passport.

Passport cards are available on the East Midtown Partnership website or at the Partnership’s office at 875 Third Avenue. Cards will also be distributed throughout the district and through local community groups. Cardholders will need to fill out their name, mailing address, and email address to register the card.

“Once you register your card, you will receive a percentage discount, a special menu item or a gift with purchase at each location.  Incentives are set by each individual business,” said Byrnes.

The Passport program is free for participating businesses and free for cardholders. To learn more, sign up your business, or get your Passport card, visit www.eastmidtown.org.
As one of the largest of New York City’s 67 Business Improvement Districts, the East Midtown Partnership covers all or part of 48 blocks of Midtown Manhattan. The organization is funded through an assessment on commercial property owners and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of property owners, business owners, residents, and community stakeholders.
For more information on the East Midtown Partnership and a map of the district please visit www.eastmidtown.org.

I did sign up for my passport and received it in the mail shortly afterwards. I think it is a great idea, and any way to obtain some discounts while visiting NYC and Midtown Manhattan, is a great help indeed! I just wanted to alert my fabulous readers of this program and be able to take advantage of some great deals.
