Good Deeds—Rebuilding Our Aquarium
NEW YORK AQUARIUM
During Hurricane Sandy, tidal waves surged through the New York Aquarium causing severe damage to the 14 acre facility. Director Jon Forrest Dohlin and staff remained on site through the storm and in its aftermath to provide care for our animals including Mitik, the orphaned walrus calf who recently found a new home at the Aquarium.
The New York Aquarium remains closed due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. With a lengthy list of repairs before us, there's no doubt we'll need additional financial help to get the New York Aquarium back on its feet.

Oh my Rosemary, it is a good thing you shared this. The devastation of Hurricane Sandy must be really extensive there in NYC. Have a wonderful weekend!
