I sat last night thru the whole telecast...4 hours of it...way too long in my opinion to see Sandra Bullock win. Thank god she did or I would have been really upset. Ben Stiller was just soo funny, I just love the guy! His kids must have so much fun with him!! I really can't understand how they can't shorten the show to maybe 2 hours at the most!! I was glad to see Up win for animated film as it was a really sweet film. I couldn't find a photo of Kathryn Bigelow as thought her gown was gorgeous and what a night for her! So great a woman director winning for the first time! Okay, here were my faves of the gowns:
Amanda Seyfried (she was in the Abba movie) looked great in Giorgio Armani Prive
I think this was my fave from guess who...Oscar de la Renta ...gorgeous !!
Carey Mulligan in Prada - so simple and elegant
Kate Winslet looks better every time I see her! Yves Saint Laurent - definately see a metallic trend on the red carpet and I loove it !!
speaking of Metallic, this was just to die for !! I am not sure if I would be able to walk in it but Sandra Bullock and Marchesa go very well together ...
Tina Fey in Michael Kors - classic black, not lots of jewelry is the way to go
the colors in this were wonderful and I loved the bodice on Zoe Saldana by Givenchy
Meryl Streep - the queen of nominations in a Chris March (he was on Project Runway) I thought she looked so classy
our girl, SJP, in what else...Chanel ...looking her usual fabulous self
I had to get one of the guys in here and couldn't find Colin Firth (one of my faves) but Tom Ford looked his usual charming self. He of course is dressed in ...Tom Ford .....
I also thought the tribute to John Hughes was wonderful and very moving. It was great seeing all the actors and actresses who made his movies come to life. He made so many movies that you didn't even realize and he was such a talented person taken from this world way too soon.
