The Chanel Gown at “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology”

It has been a crazy few months in New York City! I will be having so much new to show you in the coming weeks. We are finally viewing the fabulous exhibit Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology at my favorite museum, The Met !

I felt this wedding gown by Karl Lagerfeld was too gorgeous to just show a few photos. This gorgeous gown is a Renaissance-style wedding dress designed in 2014-15. Made from creamy synthetic scuba knit — which holds shape very well — it has a 20-foot train painted and printed with slightly pixelated gold foliate pattern based on a sketch by Mr. Lagerfeld. It was just a real treat to view in person. I hope you enjoy this post, and get excited, because there is more to come!
