I have been a l o n g time fan of Baked by Melissa. At first I questioned how these could be so great. After I had them a few times, I didn't question any longer. In 2009, Melissa opened her first shop in the Soho area of Manhattan. With 11 stores in New York City and 1 in New Jersey, plus online shipping ( how happy we were about that one) this little cupcake bakery is here to stay. The cupcakes are small. Very small. But I think that is what makes them so fun. You can try a few different flavors and not feel guilty. They are great for kids as well, but I really see adults smile when they try them as well. They bring out the child in everyone!
I have been to quite a few locations in the city, and was thrilled when they added more stores. Even the store design is fun!
How could anyone not love these little guys??
I even smiled when I saw their truck on a visit to the city one day!
When they contacted me a bit ago to try the new cupcake flavors via online shipping, I was thrilled. I had never received them in the mail before, and they do make such fabulous gifts! I loved these ice packs - This is not a cupcake. DO NOT attempt to eat this bag or it's contents. Make me laugh right away.
Tie Dye is a favorite design of the brand. How adorable is this box to receive as a gift. I just loove the bow!
The inside of the box is all tie dye, I am keeping the box to store something, too pretty to throw away!
They all arrived in perfect shape, nothing broken. The packing is done very well and with much care from Baked by Melissa.

Upper Left - Chocolate Pretzel - chocolate cake, graham cracker cream stuffing, caramel icing, chocolate covered pretzel topping
Upper Right - the December Mini Hot Cocoa - chocolate cake, hot cocoa stuffing, hot cocoa icing, chocolate covered marshmallow & green & red nonpareil topping
Bottom Left - Doughnut - doughnut cake, doughnut icing, cinnamon sugar topping
Bottom Right - Peppermint - white vanilla cake, fudge stuffing, chocolate icing, peppermint & chocolate drizzle topping
The Winter Collection will be available from Dec 1, 2014 to March 19, 2015
The Hot Cocoa is available for the month of December
They always have a Mini of the Month which is really lots of fun
These little ones are tie dye, peanut butter and jelly, chocolate chip pancake and cookie dough
If you are looking for a gift to send to a family or friend, and not sure what to purchase, these would make a great item. Any age will be so excited to receive these, and they are the most original cupcake out there today. No one has mini cupcakes like Baked by Melissa!
