A Leisurely Stroll through Chelsea

Chelsea is a neighborhood on the West Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The district's boundaries are roughly 14th Street to the south, 30th Street to the north, the western boundary of theLadies' Mile Historic District – which lies between the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) and Seventh Avenue – to the east, and the Hudson River and West Street to the west. To the north of Chelsea is the neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, also known as "Clinton," to the northeast is the Garment District, to the east are NoMad and the Flatiron District, to the southwest is the Meatpacking District and to the southeast is the West Village.**

Chelsea walking is something that is really fun and quite relaxing. Gorgeous architecture, amazing food, fun shops and a very "local" feel is what you find here. I tried to pick some of the best I have found walking around this area, on a gorgeous summer/fall day, nothing beats taking a leisurely stroll through Chelsea. Grab your comfy walking shoes and let's go ..............

the flower shops here will just knock your socks off !
how gorgeous is this architecture?
what a fun look !!
love to photograph the fire escapes !
I finally made it to the infamous Loehmann's but wasn't impressed Name brands discounted for those folks who are looking for a deal
When you look up, sometimes you see magic
modern look next to a vintage look
j'adore this spire
Trader Joe's has a lovely home in Chelsea
such lucky people get to call this home
this is just fabulous
a purple door makes everyone happy
a pretty purple tree
possibly going to a wedding? love the red shoes with the black dress
see what you would miss if you were on the subway......
Big Booty Bread Company....nuff said
One of my fave vintage shops, Pippen Vintage
Gorgeous items at the Manhattan Vintage Show in Chelsea
love this !!
just beautiful
I bet the food here is pretty amazing
Last stop the Chelsea Hotel AND
the Doughnut Plant for some time off our feet and a coffee with a fabulous doughnut (the tres leches is the BEST you will ever enjoy)

So, after our very long walk, will you be visiting Chelsea some time soon? I hope so, as you can see, there is something for just about everyone. I really wish the Doughnut Plant would sell those doughnut pillows on their wall because I would so buy one!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour today and I almost felt as if I was there!
This is an area I would love to visit. Great architecture and so much to admire. The gold spire on top of the beautiful dome is so pretty and I would definitely take a break at the Doughnut Plant!

When I first saw the title I thought you were in Chelsea, London! Nonetheless I loved learning about Chelsea NY. Those Brownstone houses always remind me of watching The Cosby show when I was younger. I SO would love to live in one of those gorgeous houses. Lovely post. Have a wonderful weekend xx
